It costs more, and in general it holds up better where floors are rough or where grease and oils attack rubber, such as kitchens and food service areas. Clarke's manual lets you flip a damaged blade once and refit it. If it has already been flipped, replace it. The blades come off by undoing the six thumb nuts, and the squeegee goes back on in the reverse order. Check the blades every week, as the manual's schedule calls for.
