How to Make VCT Floors Shine (and Keep Them Shining): Strip, Finish, Burnish, Maintain
To make VCT floors shine, clean the floor with a neutral cleaner, lay down three to five thin coats of floor finish, let it cure, then burnish it with a 1,500 to 2,000 RPM machine. Keep it shining with daily dust mopping, regular burnishing and a scrub and recoat before the finish wears through, so you rarely need to strip.
