How to Choose an Orbot Floor Machine
Every Orbot scrubs with the same orbital head, and the pad you fit decides the job. So your choice comes down to size, power and how the machine carries your cleaning solution.
Size. If you clean restrooms and small rooms, the 11" SLiM gets behind toilets and under partitions. For open offices and corridors, the 17" Vibe, SprayBorg and LiFE cover your floor faster.
Power. The Vibe and SprayBorg are corded. The SLiM and LiFE run on lithium batteries and can plug in to keep cleaning while they charge, so a low battery doesn't end your job. The SLiM runs up to 45 minutes per battery and is light enough for you to carry upstairs alone.
Solution. The Vibe has a fixed 4-gallon tank. The SprayBorg and LiFE use a removable 3-gallon bottle, so you can premix one per floor type and swap in seconds. The SLiM uses a 3/4-gallon quick-change tank.
Stairs. No floor machine sits on a stair tread, so the 6.5 lb Orbot Micro handles treads, seating and small tiled areas.

Which pad for which floor. On carpet, agitate with AgiClean (the carpet brush on the SLiM), then lift soil with SuperZorb and Orbot's Environ HP encapsulation cleaner. Use the tile and grout brush on grout, UltraLift on greasy textured tile, AkwaStrip to strip VCT and vinyl with plain water, and StoneFlash to polish marble and terrazzo.
When an Orbot Isn't the Right Machine
An Orbot keeps carpet clean between deep cleans, but heavy, ground-in soil still needs carpet extractors. For large hard floors cleaned nightly, a floor scrubber picks up the dirty water in the same pass, which an Orbot doesn't.
Orbot Floor Machine FAQ
Do I need the Orbot weight kit?
Only for hard floors. The kit adds pressure for stripping, scrubbing grout and restoring stone. On carpet, leave it off, because the extra weight adds drag. The LiO kit is 24 lb and the 17" kit is 40 lb, and both come off for transport. We don't stock one for the SLiM.
Can an Orbot replace my carpet extractor?
Not for heavily soiled carpet. Used as a carpet cleaner with SuperZorb pads, an Orbot absorbs loosened soil and leaves carpet damp instead of soaked, which suits your routine cleaning. Deep soil or a spill that reached the backing still needs hot water extraction, so many crews run both: the Orbot on a schedule and an extractor a few times a year.
How is an Orbot different from a 175 RPM rotary floor machine?
It doesn't pull. A rotary machine spins its pad one way, so it drags sideways and takes practice to control. An Orbot's orbital head has no side pull or torque, so new operators learn it faster. If you only buff or strip flat hard floors, look at floor buffers.

What warranty do Orbot machines carry?
One year on parts. Orbot covers the SLiM, Vibe, SprayBorg and LiFE for one year against manufacturing defects, parts only, so labor isn't included. The Micro is covered for 30 days. Pads, brushes and driver plates aren't covered, and claims go through the dealer you bought from, which is us.
