Yes. The orbital drive system is engineered to work across surfaces, and the pad, brush, and weight kit combination is what tunes it for the job. Carpet uses a SuperZorb pad with no weight kit. Concrete uses a scrub brush with the full weight kit. Same machine, two completely different jobs.

Both are 17" corded orbital machines with the same 1 HP motor and 1,725 RPM drive. The Vibe has a 4-gallon solution tank with a built-in spray system. The SprayBorg has an onboard 3-gallon cartridge bottle system that lets you pre-mix multiple bottles and swap them in seconds, which is the right choice for high-volume commercial work where refill stops slow you down.

The Orbot Weight Kit adds 40 lbs of down-pressure to the base. You need it for concrete, stone restoration, heavily soiled epoxy, and any work with StoneFlash pads (which require the weight kit). You do not need it for carpet, wood, or most routine hard floor cleaning. The kit is removable, so you can install it for the jobs that need it and pull it off for easier transport between sites.

The Orbot pad system is built around floor type and soil level:

• AgiClean pad (beige): heavily soiled short-pile carpet and hard floor scrubbing. About 3,000 sq. ft. per pad, both sides used.
• SuperZorb pad (white): carpet soil extraction and fast drying. About 30,000 sq. ft. across up to 100 washes. Machine washable, air dry.
• UltraLift pad: stone, concrete, VCT, marble, and porous surfaces. About 4,000 sq. ft. per pad.
• AkwaStrip pad (diamond-filled, chemical-free): wax stripping on vinyl, VCT, linoleum, wood, and safety tiles. 2,500 to 5,000 sq. ft. depending on wax load.
• StoneFlash pads: 5-step grind, hone, and polish system for marble, terrazzo, travertine, and limestone. About 5,000 sq. ft. per pad. Requires the Orbot Weight Kit.
• Multi-Purpose Scrub Brush: tile and grout, smooth concrete, rubber flooring, porcelain, safety tiles.
• Concrete Brush: outdoor concrete and rough surfaces only. Will damage any other flooring.

Velcro driver plates are wear items. Orbot recommends replacing them every 4 to 12 weeks, or approximately every 100 working hours, depending on use intensity. The velcro grip face disc on the Vibe and SprayBorg can be replaced separately from the full driver plate (10 outer screws, #3 Phillips head bit required), so you do not have to swap the entire plate every cycle.

Wipe the machine and bearing with a soft cloth and a neutral pH cleaner. Acidic or alkaline cleaners damage components. Clean the bearing regularly: buildup will eventually seize it and take the machine out of service. After every job that used cleaning solution, flush the spray system by filling the tank or bottle cartridge with clean water and running the spray for 30 seconds. Keep cleaning solution away from the motor at all times.

No, never. Running the machine with the driver plate in direct contact with the floor causes serious damage to both the floor and the machine. Always confirm a suitable pad or brush is mounted before powering on, even for a quick test. This is the most common cause of avoidable damage on every Orbot model.

A rotary buffer spins in a single direction at high RPM. It strips and polishes well on flat hard floors but leaves swirl marks, gouges floors with operator error, and is not engineered for carpet. The Orbot's dual-action orbital system generates similar agitation without the directional risk, eliminates swirl marks entirely, and is CRI certified for carpet. Operators who switch from rotary buffers to Orbot typically describe it as the difference between an angle grinder and a precision tool.

Yes. Charge all batteries upon receipt, after every use, and before storage. Failure to charge correctly leads to unsalvageable batteries, and battery damage from improper charging is not covered under warranty. This is the single most common avoidable failure on cordless commercial equipment, so build the charging habit on day one.

Orbot machines are covered against manufacturing defects from the date of original purchase, with the specific coverage term varying by model. Consumables are not covered, including brushes, drivers, velcro discs, gliders, pads, cords, and finishes. Damage from accident, misuse, neglect, fire, or non-Orbot replacement parts is also excluded. Repairs and modifications must be performed by Orbot or an authorized service dealer to keep coverage intact. The original invoice and machine serial number are required to file a warranty claim. Runtime depends on the pad load and surface, but the lithium-ion battery system is rated for up to 3,500 charge cycles, which is significantly longer than typical commercial cordless equipment. Most operators get a full shift of cleaning per charge cycle. Always charge the battery upon receipt, after each use, and before storage to preserve the full cycle life.
