An Orbot has no big vacuum motor, so on carpet the pad does the extraction. SuperZorb is that pad. As the head orbits, its cotton and polyester face soaks up the soil your encapsulation cleaner has loosened, and the carpet is left damp instead of soaked.
On hard floors the same pad works as a power mop. Mist the floor lightly, keep the pad close to dry, and it picks up the film a string mop only spreads around.

The 14-inch and 17-inch pads are oversized on purpose. The extra width keeps the machine base off baseboards and walls.

How to Use SuperZorb Pads on Carpet
Vacuum first. Pre-spray Environ encapsulation cleaner at 1 oz per gallon for light soil, 2 to 3 oz for medium and 4 oz for heavy. Center the pad under the machine and work in overlapping passes. Swap to a clean pad when it's loaded with soil.
On heavy traffic lanes, agitate first with an AgiClean pad, then come back with SuperZorb to pull the loosened soil out. On a 14-inch or 17-inch machine, Orbot recommends a carpet glider under the pad to cut friction. The SLiM doesn't need one.

How to Wash SuperZorb Pads
Pre-wash new pads before the first job. After cleaning, keep used pads in a sealed plastic bag until you can wash them, or soak them on site in water and carpet detergent so the soil doesn't dry into the fibers. Run a pre-soak cycle with detergent and about 16 oz of bleach, then hang them to dry. Never put them in the dryer.
