What is the difference between the SC100 and the SC100 Complete?
The machine is the same: 12.2-inch cylindrical brush, 0.8 and 1 gallon tanks, 0.94 hp vacuum and 26.5 pounds. The Complete (107408121) adds a manual suction hose for corners and spots the deck can't reach, a carpet care kit for small carpeted areas, and a 50-foot cord instead of the 33-foot cord on the standard SC100 (107408120).
How much floor can it clean?
Nilfisk rates the SC100 at 2,434 square feet an hour in theory and about 1,590 in practice. A full solution tank lasts up to 16 minutes, so it's best for small floors of roughly 1,500 to 2,000 square feet a day, such as cafes, convenience stores, restrooms and small offices.
Does it really replace a mop?
Yes, for small hard floors. It puts down clean solution, scrubs with a brush spinning at 2,100 rpm and vacuums the dirty water back up in the same pass, so the floor is dry right away instead of being left wet with the same dirty water a mop spreads around.
Can it clean carpet?
With the carpet care kit, which comes with the SC100 Complete, it can freshen small carpeted areas and entrance mats and remove spots. It's not a replacement for a carpet extractor on wall-to-wall carpet.
What floors can I use it on?
Sealed hard floors such as VCT, vinyl, LVT, ceramic tile, sealed concrete and sealed stone. Nilfisk offers medium nylon (included), hard nylon and microfiber brushes, so you can match the brush to the floor. It's for indoor use on level floors; the manual limits it to a 2% slope.
What water and detergent should I use?
Use water no warmer than 104 °F (40 °C). The solution tank cap holds 30 ml, which makes about a 1% mix in a full tank; always follow the dilution on your chemical's label and use a low-foam scrubber detergent.
Is it the same machine as the Clarke MA10 12E?
Both are built by Nilfisk on the same platform and share the same published specifications, including the standard and complete versions. They differ in brand, color and price.
What maintenance does it need?
After each use: empty and rinse the recovery tank, wash the brush and its compartment, and clean the squeegee blades and vacuum opening. Regularly: clean the solution filter and the air filter and check the brush and blades for wear. Brush and squeegees come off without tools.
What warranty does the SC100 have?
Under Nilfisk's current US limited warranty: 3 years parts, 3 years labor and 1 year travel. Wear items such as brushes and squeegee blades are not covered except for manufacturing defects.
