The rounded squeegee on the Clarke MA50 15B picks up the solution in one pass, as long as its blades are in good shape. These are the two blades Clarke lists for it, both 490 mm (19 in) long: the front blade VF89807 and the rear blade VF89808. Each comes in the standard gum rubber or in polyurethane (part numbers ending in -PU).
Gum rubber is the standard blade and the lowest-cost way to keep the squeegee sealing. Polyurethane is the optional upgrade Clarke lists in the MA50 parts manual. It costs more, and in general it holds up better where floors are rough or where grease and oils attack rubber, such as kitchens and food service areas. If your blades wear out fast or swell and curl, try the polyurethane pair.
Cut for the MA50. 490 mm blades for the MA50's rounded squeegee, so the ends seal and nothing is left behind.
Two materials. Gum rubber for everyday floors, polyurethane where rubber wears too fast.
Sold each. Replace only the blade that's worn.
Take the squeegee off the machine and check the front and rear blades for cracks, cuts and tears. Clarke's manual lets you flip a damaged blade once and refit it. If it has already been flipped, replace it. The blades come off by undoing the six thumb nuts, and the squeegee goes back on in the reverse order. Check the blades every week, as the manual's schedule calls for. Squeegee blades are wear items and aren't covered by Nilfisk's machine warranty except for manufacturing defects.
