The Right Brush for Every Floor Your Vantage 14 Cleans

The Clarke Vantage 14 scrubs forward and backward on one 14.5-inch (370 mm) disc brush. The blue Prolene brush, 9099999000, is the one Clarke ships on the machine. Clarke lists four more for the same deck, so you can match the bristle to the floor instead of making one brush do every job.

Which Vantage 14 Brush Do You Need?

Brush Part Number What It Is
Prolene, blue 9099999000 The standard polypropylene brush that ships on the machine, for daily scrubbing.
Prolite, blue 9100000001 Clarke's lighter polypropylene option.
Union Mix, natural 9100000000 A natural-fiber blend.
Grit 240, grey 9100000002 Abrasive grit bristles, for heavier soil.
Grit 180, grey 9100000003 A coarser grit than the 240, the most aggressive of the five.

Clarke's documents name each brush but don't assign floors to them. If you're unsure, start with the standard Prolene brush, and test a grit brush in a corner before you run it across a finished floor. On smooth sealed floors, the Vantage 14 pad holder with a 14-inch pad is another option. Our guide on brush vs pad explains when each one wins.

Why Use Genuine Clarke Brushes

  • Sized for the Vantage deck. 14.5-inch brushes that turn with the Vantage 14's rotating deck, forward and backward.

  • Five bristles, one machine. From the standard Prolene to 180 grit, all from Clarke's own accessory list.

  • No tools. The brush releases and engages by hand.

Changing the Brush

To remove it: turn the function knob to 0, lift the brush deck slightly and release the brush from the hub by turning it sharply in its normal direction of rotation. To fit one: lift the deck slightly and set the brush under it, turn the function knob to a program, then press the enabling button together with the brush levers to engage it. Clean the brush daily after use, as the manual's schedule calls for. Brushes are wear items and aren't covered by Nilfisk's machine warranty except for manufacturing defects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which brush comes with the Vantage 14?

The blue Prolene brush, 9099999000. Clarke's spec sheet lists it as standard equipment.

Which brush is the most aggressive?

The 180 grit brush, 9100000003. Lower grit numbers are coarser, so 180 cuts harder than 240.

Do these fit other 14-inch scrubbers?

They're sized for the Vantage 14 deck. Send us your machine model and we'll confirm the fit before you order.

Do I need tools to change the brush?

No. The brush releases and engages by hand using the controls on the machine.

Is the brush covered by warranty?

Only for manufacturing defects. Nilfisk treats brushes as wear items.
