EDIC® Countertop Revolution 7" Handheld Tile & Grout Cleaning Tool 700REV

A floor spinner makes quick work of open tile. Then you reach the shower walls, the vanity top, the backsplash and the grout line that hugs the base of the toilet, and the big tool can't follow. The EDIC Countertop Revolution 700REV is the handheld answer: a 7 inch spinner that weighs 4.8 lb, so you can hold it flat against a wall or a counter and clean with the same high-pressure extraction you use on the floor.
It's the handheld version of the Revolution 1200REV floor tool ($1,281). Two hi-flow jets on a spinning arm blast the grout while your vacuum pulls the dirty water back through the 1-1/2 inch hose, and the teardrop shaped head runs its point right into inside corners.
EDIC built it for the Endeavor multi-surface cleaner and recommends 800 to 1500 PSI. It also works with any other high-pressure extractor that reaches that range.

Teardrop head with a pointed nose: cleans into wall and floor corners and tight around fixtures, where round tools leave a dirty ring.
Light enough to hold on a wall: at 4.8 lb, shower surrounds, tub decks and backsplashes don't wear out your arms.
Dual jet, hi-flow spinning arm: even coverage without the streaks a hand brush leaves behind.
Extraction, not just spraying: the vacuum recovers the water as you go, so there's less overspray to wipe and the surface dries faster.
Rated to 2500 PSI: comfortable on a 1200 PSI portable like the Endeavor and on a truck mount.
Built to be serviced: a serviceable swivel fitting, nickel plated brass solution fittings and a rotationally molded housing with a skirt brush.

Most crews doing restroom and kitchen restoration end up with both: the 1200REV for the floor, the Countertop Revolution for everything above it and along the edges.
EDIC's manual lays out a simple routine:
Prep: vacuum or wipe off loose debris, and mask cabinets, painted walls and carpet edges against overspray.
Pre-spray: apply the right pre-spray for the surface and keep dwell time to 5 minutes or less so the grout doesn't get overwet before sealing.
Clean: connect the vacuum and solution hoses, start the vacuum, hold the head flush with the surface and squeeze the trigger. Move at a moderate pace with a small overlap. Going too fast can leave a spiral pattern in the grout.
After the job: disconnect and check the hoses, wipe the tool with a damp cloth and store it indoors, never in freezing temperatures. Check the spray tips weekly and don't bend their angle.

Hard surfaces you can't reach with a floor tool: grouted tile walls, showers and tub surrounds, countertops and backsplashes, the floor around toilets, and the edges and corners of tile floors. EDIC's manual also lists outdoor brick, concrete and limestone. It's for hard surfaces only, not carpet or upholstery.
EDIC recommends the Endeavor, whose pump adjusts from 70 to 1200 PSI. It also works with any high-pressure extractor or truck mount that can deliver at least 800 PSI. EDIC's Galaxy portables top out at 500 PSI, which is too low to spin it properly.
EDIC's price list says 800 to 1500 PSI, and the tool is rated to 2500 PSI. On the Endeavor, set 800 to 1100 PSI; EDIC's Endeavor guide says not to regulate above 1100. Solution can be up to 200°F.
No. It connects to your machine's 1-1/2 inch vacuum hose and high-pressure solution line. On the Endeavor that's the 2540AC-HP 25 ft hose assembly, which comes with every Endeavor kit.
The 12 inch Revolution 1200REV is the floor tool, with a T-handle that folds flat to reach under counters. The 7 inch Countertop Revolution is held in one hand for walls, counters, showers and corners. Restroom and kitchen crews usually carry both.
Yes, in the Endeavor Complete Kit (9000i-HSH-CK), along with the spray gun and the chemical metering kit. The Carpet/Hard Surface and Hard Surface kits don't include it. If you're buying the machine, compare the kits on the Endeavor page first.
Yes. Apply the right pre-spray for the surface and keep dwell time to 5 minutes or less so the grout isn't overwet before sealing. For the rinse solution in the Endeavor's tank, EDIC asks for a neutral product between 6 and 10 pH to protect the pump seals.
EDIC covers the Countertop Revolution for 5 years parts and labor, with lifetime coverage on the rotationally molded housing. Freezing temperatures, dropping the tool or unauthorized repairs void it, so store it indoors and send repairs to an EDIC service center.
