No batteries to charge, no runtime anxiety, just plug in and go for as long as the job takes. And here is where it gets interesting: the DH 420 is built on a modular platform. Need to go cordless? Add the Lite Battery module and a charger and you have a battery-powered machine with 50 minutes of runtime and a one-hour charge. Same machine, new capability. No trade-ins, no replacements, just snap in the battery and cut the cord.

Blue UltraBrush Soft is the standard, non-abrasive brush that comes with the machine. It handles daily maintenance on all floor types, from hardwood to tile to low-pile carpet.

The DH 420 is available in a Steam configuration that adds a built-in steam generator to the machine. Instead of relying on chemical sanitizers, the steam variant delivers high-temperature steam directly to the floor surface during the scrubbing pass. One machine, one pass, scrubbing and sanitizing at the same time.

The steam system uses a 1,500W boiler that heats water to approximately 230°F (110°C) and delivers it through a 13" (330 mm) steam jet width. The steam variant uses a dedicated 0.8 gallon (3.0 L) solution tank for the steam generator (the standard variant uses its full 1.6 gallon / 6.1 L tank for cleaning solution instead). Steam takes about 30 seconds to start flowing after you begin operating the machine.

Important note: Steam functions only during corded (H-Box) operation. If you add the Lite Battery module for cordless use, steam will not be available in battery mode. This is a power requirement, not a design oversight. The 1,500W boiler needs more sustained power than the battery module provides.

This makes the Steam variant particularly well-suited for healthcare facilities, food service environments, childcare centers, and any operation where reducing or eliminating chemical use is either a requirement or a competitive advantage when bidding contracts.
