Some carpets can't wait for a wet clean to dry: the office that opens at 7, the hallway nobody can close, the stairwell that carries traffic all night. Dry carpet cleaning compound lets your crew clean them without adding a drop of water. You spread it, your CRB (counter-rotating brush) machine works it through the pile, and the carpet is back in use as soon as you've brushed it out.
This is Carpet Cleaner America's own compound, sold for years as natraDri. It's listed on the USDA BioPreferred program and lab certified to be 99.9% organic, so the used compound goes in the trash or even the compost pile.
The compound is made of soft organic particles loaded with cleaning agents. Brush it in with your CRB and the brushes carry those agents into every fiber, where they dissolve the soil. The particles then soak that soil back up like tiny sponges. Fit the renovator trays and brush the compound back out, then vacuum up whatever is left.
For heavy soil and traffic lanes, pre-spray first with encapsulating prespray mixed at 5 oz per gallon of water. Moisten the soiled areas without soaking them, then spread the compound and brush it in. The prespray loosens the soil so the compound can absorb it.
No water, no drying fans, so you can't overwet the carpet and the room reopens the moment you're done.
Pulls out old residue left by other cleaning methods, the sticky film that makes carpets resoil fast.
Handles recurring spots in the places that keep coming back, like entrances and break rooms.
USDA BioPreferred and 99.9% organic, with no special disposal and no hazard classification on its safety data sheet.
Long shelf life, so a stocked bucket waits on the shelf until the job calls for it.
Both hold the same compound. The 20 lb bucket (C 1050) reseals and stacks, which suits a crew that works out of a van every night. The box of ten 2.2 lb bags (C 1210) is the same 22 lb of compound split into single-job portions, handy when you only treat a few rooms at a time or send techs out with one bag each.
Dry compound needs a CRB machine with renovator trays to brush it in and out. Every Austrian TM3, TM4 and TM5 comes with them.
