Put Solution Down Where the Pad Is, Not From a Bucket

Wet scrubbing with a floor machine usually means a helper with a mop bucket, or you stopping every few minutes to pour more solution in front of the pad. This kit puts a 2.5 gallon (9.46 L) solution tank on your Clarke FM40 orbital floor machine, so cleaning solution or water feeds to the pad while you work. Clarke lists it as an option for both the FM40 ST and the FM40 LX.

When the Solution Tank Earns Its Place

• Wet scrubbing and chemical-free stripping. A steady flow of water or solution keeps the pad cutting and the slurry loose.

• Bonnet cleaning carpet. Meter the bonnet solution as you go instead of pre-spraying the whole room.

• Working alone. No second person and no bucket to push along behind you.

For dry jobs like screening a gym floor, leave the tank off and fit the FM40 vacuum skirt kit instead to keep the dust down. Clarke offers the two as the FM40's optional kits.

What's in the Kit

The FM40 parts list breaks the kit down into the solution tank (56113012), two hinge plates (56113034) and the solution tank hardware kit (56113103). The FM40 operator manual shows where the optional solution tank connects to the machine. Pick up the dirty solution with a wet vac or squeegee after scrubbing, and empty and rinse the tank at the end of each job.
