When your Clarke MA30 13B starts leaving streaks or a wet trail behind it, the squeegee blades are usually to blame. A nicked or rounded edge lets water slip past. This is the genuine Clarke set, with the front and rear squeegees in one box, so the whole machine dries like new again.
Part 9100002064 is the polyurethane set. It replaces the older gray rubber set 9100002063, which Clarke no longer lists.
How Often Should You Replace Them?
Clarke's maintenance schedule calls for rinsing the squeegees after every use, checking the blades every week, and replacing the squeegee bars every six months. Replace them sooner if a blade is cut, chipped, torn or worn. If you run the machine every day, keeping a spare set on the shelf saves you a week of streaky floors while a new one ships.
Front and rear in one set. Both 360 mm (14 in) squeegees, so you replace them together and they wear evenly.
Snap on, no tools. The bars pull straight out and push back in.
Polyurethane blades. Urethane is tougher than gum rubber against grease, oil and rough floors.
Current Clarke part. 9100002064 supersedes the gray rubber set 9100002063.
How to Fit the Squeegees
Switch the machine off and lift the tank container out using its handle. Tip the machine body up to reach the underside of the cleaning deck and pull the old squeegee bars outwards. Before fitting the new set, clean the recovery water duct, then push the new bars into place and check that they're fully engaged. The full steps, with pictures, are in the MA30 13B operator manual.
The squeegee passages on this machine are narrow, so rinse the bars, their compartments and the vacuum hole after each use to stop them clogging. Squeegee blades are wear items, so Nilfisk's machine warranty doesn't cover them except for manufacturing defects.
