Clarke® MA30™ 13B Battery Micro Scrubber, 13" Cylindrical, 36V Lithium
(855) 601-5678 · support@oneupcleaning.com
The breakfast rush starts in an hour, and someone still has to get the sticky floor under the café tables clean. A mop pushes that mess around and leaves it wet. The Clarke MA30 13B is a battery micro scrubber that sweeps up small crumbs, scrubs and dries a 13.4-inch path in one pass, then rolls under the next table.
A 36 V lithium battery runs it for up to 40 minutes, and the whole machine weighs 55.5 lb with the battery in. At 66 dB(A), it's only a little louder than normal conversation (around 60 dB), so you can clean a restroom or break room while people are nearby. You can buy it with the standard charger or with Clarke's fast charger for $282 more.
Both packages are the same machine with the same battery, brush and squeegees. The only difference is the charger in the box, so the choice comes down to how often you need the scrubber in a day.

The standard charger fits when the MA30 13B runs once or twice a day and charges overnight, like a nightly pass through restrooms and a break room. Plug the charger into the socket on the machine, or lift the battery out by its handle and charge it on a shelf.
The fast charger fits when the machine works in short bursts all day: spills in a store, tables in a café between rushes, or a clinic that cleans between patients. Forty minutes of scrubbing and about an hour on the charger keeps it in service through a full shift. A second battery is the other way to stretch runtime, but lithium packs aren't cheap, so for most buyers the faster charger is the better spend.

The Clarke MA10 12E is the pick for one restroom or a small kitchen near an outlet, at about $1,900 less. The MA30 13B is the middle ground: cordless, light enough for one person to lift, and small enough for the tight spots. If your floor runs into the thousands of square feet every day, the Clarke MA50 15B carries more than twice the water for $762 more. You can compare every small machine in our compact floor scrubbers collection.
I recommend the MA30 13B to people who are tired of mopping small rooms: restrooms, break rooms, café floors, clinic exam rooms and the aisles of a small shop. It reaches under tables and chairs, and it's light enough that one person can fold the handle over and lift it into a van by the carry handle.
The detail I like most is the handle. There's no trigger to hold down. The grips have palm sensors, so the brush and solution only run while your hand is on the handle, and the machine shuts itself off after two minutes of sitting idle.
Now the honest part. This is a small-room machine. Clarke rates it at 7,320 sq ft an hour in practical use, so one 40-minute charge covers roughly 4,900 square feet at best. The 1.6-gallon recovery tank is small, so empty it every time you refill, and use a low-foam chemical. The squeegee passages are narrow too, and they clog if nobody rinses them after use. Daily cleaning takes a couple of minutes, but it has to happen.
Owner reviews of the MA30 13B are thin. The verified buyer reviews we found, on WebstaurantStore and Pittsburgh Spray Equipment, are five stars with one-line praise. The most useful feedback comes from one detailed hands-on video review by an independent floor scrubber reviewer.
The reviewer liked the palm sensors in the handle, the accurate battery gauge and how easily it stores standing up, and got more than an hour of runtime in their own test, beating Clarke's 40-minute rating. The complaints were specific: the recovery tank filled up before the full solution tank was used, the squeegee ports clogged and were hard to clear, the brush hood is plastic, a replacement battery is expensive, and it felt loose turning corners. Their overall verdict was good cleaning and good value, with average long-term reliability.
Sweep and scrub in one pass. Raise the front squeegee with a lever and small debris passes to the brush, so you spend less time pre-sweeping.
Dries going forward and backward. Pull back out of a corner and the floor behind you is still dry, which means fewer slip-and-fall risks.
Removable 36 V lithium battery. Charge it in the machine or on a shelf, and six lights on the handle show how much charge is left.
Tank-in-tank unit that lifts out. Carry both tanks to the sink by one handle. The lids are held on by magnets.
Two solution flow settings. One press for everyday dirt, two for heavy soil, and a measuring cap in the solution tank so you mix the right amount of chemical.
Fold-over handle and parking pedal. The pedal lifts the brush and squeegees off the floor for moving and storage, so the brush doesn't take a flat spot.
Adjustable brush pressure. Turn the knob up to 26.5 lb of brush pressure on stubborn soil, or back it off on delicate floors.
The MA30 13B ships with a medium nylon white cylindrical brush (Clarke part 9100002066), which suits everyday cleaning of tile, VCT and sealed concrete. Clarke offers three other brushes for the same 340 mm hub: soft nylon black for high-gloss floors (9100002069), hard grit grey for rough, non-sensitive floors (9100002067), and a microfiber roller for sensitive floors (9100002068). The microfiber roller doesn't sweep debris. All four are on our MA30 13B brush page, from $48.10. Clarke lists the orange debris hopper (9100001964) as an accessory, so not every machine ships with one. It's $18.34 on its own page.
Replacement squeegees come as a two-piece front and rear set. The current Clarke part is the polyurethane squeegee set 9100002064 ($75.31), which replaces the older gray rubber set 9100002063. Both squeegees snap on and off without tools. Clarke's manual has you clean the brush, squeegees, brush compartment and solution dispensers after every use, check the squeegee blades weekly, and replace the squeegees every six months, or sooner if the blades are worn, chipped or torn. Nilfisk treats brushes and squeegee blades as wear items, not covered except for manufacturing defects. For how lithium compares with AGM and wet batteries, see our guide to floor scrubber batteries.
Clarke is one of Nilfisk's commercial floor care brands, so parts and service run through Nilfisk's own network of authorized service centers. Nilfisk covers battery walk-behind scrubbers for 3 years parts, 3 years labor and 1 year travel, and covers lithium-ion batteries for 5 years against manufacturer defects. We're an authorized Clarke retailer, so that warranty is yours from day one.

Ready when you are: add the MA30 13B to your cart, or message us first if you'd like help choosing between the standard and fast charger.
It's the same machine, battery, brush and squeegees either way. Retailers list about 5 hours for a full charge on the standard charger and about 1 hour on the fast charger. Pick the standard package if the scrubber runs once or twice a day and charges overnight. Pick the fast charger, $282 more, if you use it in short bursts all day.
Clarke rates the 36 V lithium battery at up to 40 minutes of scrubbing. Six lights on the handle show the charge level, and the last light flashes when about 5 minutes are left. The battery lifts out by its handle, so you can charge it in the machine or on a shelf.
Clarke rates it at 7,320 square feet an hour in practical use (14,369 in theory). Over a 40-minute charge, that's roughly 4,900 square feet at best, which makes it a fit for restrooms, break rooms, kitchens and small retail floors rather than big open areas.
For crumbs and small grit, usually not. Lift the front squeegee with the lever on the handle and small debris passes to the cylindrical brush. Pick up larger items first. Clarke lists an orange debris hopper (part 9100001964) as an accessory.
Yes. The cylindrical brush reaches into grout lines, and Clarke suggests moving diagonally across the tile layout to dry the grout lines better. The standard brush is medium nylon; Clarke also offers soft nylon, hard grit and microfiber brushes.
No. Clarke's manual limits it to smooth, solid hard floors, indoors, on slopes no steeper than 2%. Don't wash it with a hose or pressure washer.
Turn the machine off, press the parking pedal, and lift the tank unit out by its handle. Take off the cover to empty the recovery tank, and remove the plug to drain the solution tank. Fill the solution tank with water no hotter than 104°F and use the measuring cap for chemical: one capful (30 ml) in a full tank is a 0.5% mix.
Nilfisk's current US limited warranty covers battery walk-behind scrubbers for 3 years parts, 3 years labor and 1 year travel through an authorized service center. Lithium-ion batteries are covered for 5 years against manufacturer defects. Brushes and squeegee blades are wear items.
