Turn Your MA50 15B Into a Pad Machine

The VF89817 is the 15-inch (381 mm) pad driver for the Clarke MA50 15B compact scrubber. It twists onto the same drive hub as the brush and holds one standard 15-inch floor pad, so you can run a scrub pad on sealed VCT and LVT, a buffing pad for a light shine, or a stripping pad when the finish has to come off.

A pad gives even, flat contact on smooth floors. Keep the Clarke VF89830 15-inch brush for grout and textured tile, and switch to the pad driver when the floor is smooth. Our guide on brush vs pad walks through the choice.

Fitting the Pad Driver

Turn the machine off and lay it back as shown in the operator manual, then pull up the lift lever to raise the squeegee. Turn the brush or old driver clockwise to release it from the drive hub. Center a pad on the driver, set the driver on the hub and turn it counterclockwise until it locks. Our floor pad color chart explains which pad color fits each job. Pad drivers are wear items and aren't covered by Nilfisk's machine warranty except for manufacturing defects.
