A Fresh Brush for Your MA50 15B

The VF89830 is the 15-inch (380 mm) disc brush for the Clarke MA50 15B compact scrubber. Its polypropylene bristles are the general-purpose choice for daily scrubbing of restrooms, classrooms, break rooms and office corridors, and they reach into grout lines and textured tile where a flat pad rides over the low spots.

Bristles wear shorter with every shift. Once they're worn down or splayed, the brush stops reaching the floor evenly and the MA50 leaves dirt in the grout. A fresh brush brings the scrub back, and a spare one means a clean, dry brush is always ready for the next shift.

Brush or Pad Driver?

Keep the brush for grout, textured tile and uneven floors. For smooth sealed floors, or to strip finish with a pad, fit the Clarke VF89817 15-inch pad driver instead. Our guide on brush vs pad explains when each one wins.

Changing the Brush

Turn the machine off and lay it back as shown in the operator manual, then pull up the lift lever to raise the squeegee. To remove the old brush, turn it clockwise until it releases from the drive hub. To fit the new one, set it on the hub and turn it counterclockwise until it locks. Clarke's schedule calls for cleaning the brush after each use. Brushes are wear items and aren't covered by Nilfisk's machine warranty except for manufacturing defects.
