Pads ride on the high spots. On grout lines, textured tile and uneven concrete, the dirt sits in the low spots, and a flat pad skims right over it. This disc brush goes on your Clarke CA60 20D or 20TD in place of the pad holder, and its bristles reach down into those low spots while the machine scrubs and dries in the same pass.
It's Nilfisk part VF91040, listed as a 530 mm disc brush (about 21 in across the bristles). Some sellers list it as a 19-inch brush, but it's the same part. It fits the disc models only; the BOOST 20B and 24B run rectangular pads instead.
Brush or Pad: Which One Should You Run?
Run the brush on grout, textured or slip-resistant tile, and rough or uneven concrete. Stay with the 19-inch pad holder and a 20-inch pad on smooth VCT and sealed floors, and for any job where the pad color matters, like stripping or polishing. Many crews keep one of each and swap by floor.

How to Fit the Brush
With the deck raised, slide the brush under it and lift it up to engage the hub, turning it clockwise as seen from above. Lower the deck, press the OneTouch scrub button, then hold one of the two brush switches for half a second and the machine seats the brush for you. To take it off, raise the deck and press the brush release button. Clarke's CA60 Use and Care guide shows each step. Rinse the brush after each use and check the bristles for wear. Brushes are wear items, so Nilfisk's machine warranty doesn't cover them.
