EDIC 14092A: Carry the Hose and Wand on Your Galaxy


A 25 ft hose and a 60 inch wand are the awkward part of every carpet job: an extra trip from the van, a tangle in the elevator, a wand leaning on a client's wall. The EDIC 14092A rack kit puts hose racks on the sides of your Galaxy 2000 or Galaxy Pro and a wand mount on the front, so the machine, hose and wand move as one load.

The racks bolt to the inserts EDIC installs at the factory on newer Galaxy 2000 and Galaxy Pro units. Older machines built without those inserts can't take the kit, so check before you order (see below).

Will It Fit Your Galaxy?

  • Galaxy 2000 (2000SX-HR, 2000IX-HR, 2000CX-HR) and Galaxy Pro (2700IX-HR, 2700CX-HR, 2700FX-HR): yes, on units with the factory-installed inserts. New machines from us are current production.

  • Older Galaxy units without inserts: no. EDIC says the kit is not compatible with them.

  • Galaxy 5, automotive units, Endeavor: no, the kit is made for the Galaxy 2000 and Galaxy Pro bodies only.

Coil the hose in loose loops over the racks rather than folding it tight, so the vacuum hose keeps its shape and the solution line doesn't kink. Need the hose? The Galaxy hose assembly comes in 15, 25 and 50 ft.

Will it fit my Galaxy?

It fits the Galaxy 2000 and Galaxy Pro units EDIC builds with factory-installed inserts for the racks. EDIC says it is not compatible with Galaxy extractors without those inserts. Send us your serial number or a photo of the machine's sides and front and we'll confirm before you order.

Does it fit the Galaxy 5?

No. EDIC makes the kit for the Galaxy 2000 and Galaxy Pro only.

What's in the kit?

Hose racks for the sides of the machine and the front wand mount accessories, as EDIC lists them. The photos show the kit installed on a Galaxy 2000 and a Galaxy Pro.

Do new Galaxy machines come with it?

Not as standard on the Galaxy 2000 and Galaxy Pro: it's an option. EDIC's Galaxy Pro PTAC kit is the exception, with hose management racks included.

Can I buy it with a new Galaxy?

Yes. Add it to your cart with the machine, and orders of $400 and up ship free.

What is the warranty?

EDIC's standard limited warranty covers defects in material and workmanship. Call or message us with your order number and we'll handle any claim with EDIC.
