The NaceCare GVE 370 George: The Commercial George Vacuum for Spots and Upholstery

A guest spills red wine on a lobby armchair. A resident's recliner needs cleaning before the family visits on Sunday. A car seat has to be dry by the afternoon pickup. The NaceCare GVE 370 George is the commercial version of Numatic's well-known George vacuum, set up as a carpet spotter and upholstery extractor.

Its 30 psi pump puts down only as much water as fabric can take, and a 1.3 hp vacuum with 100 inches of water lift pulls it back out. It weighs 19 pounds, has a 42-foot cord and comes with a 10-foot hose and a 4-inch hand tool.

The Owner's Insights on the George

If you know the Henry vacuum, George will look familiar. Both are Numatic tub machines, sold in the US through NaceCare. Henry vacuums dry. George extracts: it sprays clean solution through the hand tool and pulls the dirty water into its tub.

The gentle pump is why I'd pick George for upholstery. Fabric chairs, cubicle panels and car seats over-wet easily, and a soaked cushion can take a day to dry. George puts down less water than the 55 to 60 psi spotters we carry, so it's slower on deep carpet stains but kinder to fabric.

The 1.6-gallon tanks are small on purpose. George is for spots, upholstery and small areas. For a run of hotel corridors, the TP 4X or AV 4X carries 4 gallons.

Why You'll Love the George Spot Extractor

  • 30 psi pump. Cleans upholstery without soaking it.

  • 100 inches of water lift. The 1.3 hp, two-stage vacuum leaves fabric damp, not wet.

  • Ball float shut-off. Stops water before it can reach the motor.

  • Tank with a carry handle. Lift it out and pour it down the drain.

  • 42-foot cord. Clean a row of seats or a whole vehicle from one outlet.

  • 19 pounds. Large rear wheels and front casters, and light enough for a car trunk.

Spotter Kit or With the Floor Wand?

GVE 370 George with hose and hand tool

Spotter kit. George with its 10-foot extraction hose and 4-inch upholstery tool. Everything you need for spots, upholstery and car interiors.

George with its hose and hand tool, plus the 601042 three-piece extraction wand and the 601423 floor nozzle

With the floor wand and nozzle. Keeps the hose and hand tool and adds NaceCare's 3-piece extraction wand with trigger (601042) and 11-inch extraction floor nozzle (601423), both listed for the GVE 370. Connect the wand to the hose and George cleans small carpeted areas standing up, like an office or a van floor. It adds $420, the same as buying both separately.

How to Clean Upholstery and Carpet Spots With George

Vacuum the area first and test the fabric in a hidden spot. Fill the solution tank with water and a low-foam extraction chemical, then spray and pull the hand tool slowly toward you so the vacuum picks the water straight back up. Finish with a couple of passes without spraying.

When the tank is full, lift it out by its handle and pour it away, then rinse it. George isn't for hazardous or toxic material, and it shouldn't be used to pick up anything flammable.

Numatic also sells George as a dry vacuum, with a TriTex filter and HepaFlo bag fitted. NaceCare sells the GVE 370 in the US as a spotter with the hose and hand tool, so if you want to vacuum dry with it, call us first and we'll confirm the parts you need.

George or Another Carpet Spotter?

George costs $849 with the hose and hand tool. Here's how it compares with other machines we sell.

Looking for Henry? The NaceCare Henry PPR 240 is George's dry-vacuum sibling, for $250 less.

More pressure. The Tornado PS Spotter holds 2 gallons and sprays at 55 psi, for $150 more.

Bigger tanks. The NaceCare TP 4X holds 4 gallons, sprays at 60 psi and has 120 inches of water lift, for about $260 more.

No cord. The NaceCare CTB 370NX is a cordless battery spotter from the same Numatic 370 range, for $700 more.

Why You Should Consider a NaceCare Carpet Spotter

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the GVE 370 the same as the Numatic George?

Yes. The GVE 370 is NaceCare's US model of the Numatic George, sold with a 10-foot extraction hose and a 4-inch upholstery tool. UK Georges are sold with different kits and plugs, so buy the US model for 120-volt outlets.

What's the difference between George and Henry?

Both are Numatic tub machines. Henry is a dry canister vacuum. George sprays clean solution and vacuums the dirty water back up, so it cleans carpet spots and upholstery.

Can George vacuum dry?

Numatic sells George as a dry vacuum too, with a TriTex filter and HepaFlo bag fitted. NaceCare sells the US GVE 370 as a spotter with the hose and hand tool, so call us before you buy it for dry vacuuming and we'll confirm the parts.

Will it over-wet upholstery?

It's designed not to. The pump runs at 30 psi, lower than most spotters, and the 100-inch water lift vacuum pulls the water back up. Finish with a few dry passes and test fabric in a hidden spot first.

How much does it hold?

NaceCare's spec sheet lists 1.6 gallons of solution and 1.6 gallons of recovery. It's made for spots, upholstery and small areas.

Can I clean car interiors with it?

Yes. NaceCare names vehicle detailing alongside spotting and upholstery. At 19 pounds with a 42-foot cord, it reaches a whole vehicle from one outlet.

What does the floor wand package add?

You keep the 10-foot hose and 4-inch upholstery tool, and get NaceCare's 3-piece extraction wand with trigger (601042) and 11-inch extraction floor nozzle (601423), both made for the GVE 370. They connect to the hose so you can clean small carpeted areas standing up.

What warranty does the George have?

Under NaceCare's 2025 US warranty chart: 10 years on the tank and body and 2 years on motors, switches, electrical parts and labor.
