NaceCare James JVP 180 Commercial Canister Vacuum, 2 Gallon, with Combination Floor Tool Kit

It's 6 p.m. at a dental office: 2,000 square feet of low-pile carpet and vinyl, a reception area, four operatories and a break room. A big upright is overkill and too loud for the staff still finishing charts. The NaceCare James JVP 180 is the compact commercial canister vacuum for exactly that job. It weighs 13 lbs, runs at 49 dB(A) and rolls behind you on rubber-coated wheels that won't scuff the floor.
Inside is the same 680-watt motor rated for 2,250+ hours that NaceCare uses in the Henry, with 120 cfm of airflow and 100 inches of water lift. James holds 2 gallons and ships with a 12-inch combination floor tool that switches between carpet and hard floor.
James is the Henry's smaller blue brother, and the cheapest way into NaceCare's long-life motor. NaceCare backs that motor for 5 years when you run it with HepaFlo bags. I'd put James in small offices, clinics, churches, classrooms and retail stores, anywhere the floor is mostly hard surface or low-pile carpet.
Here's what you give up to save money. The tank is 2 gallons instead of the Henry's 2.5. The AS0 kit has a wand bend and one extension tube, so it's shorter than a full 3-piece wand. There's no cord rewind, just a hook. Filtration is 98.6% at 0.3 micron, not the Henry's 99.97%. And the floor tool is suction-only, so on thick carpet you'll want a machine with a power head.
680 W motor, 2,250+ hours. NaceCare says it uses 43% less energy than 1,200-watt canisters.
49 dB(A). Quieter than normal conversation, so you can vacuum while people are still working.
13 lbs. One hand up a flight of stairs or into a car trunk.
Rubber-coated wheels. James follows you without scuffing or scratching hard floors.
Quick-change cord. If the 33-foot cord gets cut, unplug it from the machine and plug in a new one.
On-board tool storage. The wand and floor tool park on the back between rooms.
84% soil recovery. More dirt out of the carpet means it looks better between deep cleans.
All three share the 680 W motor, 120 cfm and 49 dB(A). The differences are tank size, wand and extras.
James JVP 180: 2 gallons, AS0 kit with a wand bend and one extension tube, cord hook. The right fit for small spaces and tight budgets.
ProSave PSP 240: 2.5 gallons and a full 3-piece wand, for $100 more. You can also order it with a power head or a battery power brush for carpet.
Henry PPR 240: 2.5 gallons, telescopic wand, crank cord rewind and 99.97% filtration, for $200 more.

It's the same James design from Numatic. The UK James runs on 230 volts; the JVP 180 is NaceCare's 120-volt version for North America, with a 680 W motor and NaceCare's US warranty.
The AS0 kit: a 9-foot hose, a wand bend, one extension tube and a 12-inch combination floor tool that switches between carpet and hard floor.
NVM 1CH HepaFlo bags (604015, pack of 10), the same bags as the Henry, and the TriTex filter. Use NaceCare HepaFlo bags to keep the 5-year motor warranty.
On low-pile carpet, yes. The combo floor tool is suction-only, so for thick or busy carpet pick a vacuum with a power head, like the ProSave PSP 240 with the AH3 kit or battery power brush.
49 dB(A). Normal conversation is around 60 dB, so it works in occupied offices and clinics.
No. It filters to 0.3 micron at 98.6% efficiency, which is right for daily dust. For certified HEPA filtration, look at the NaceCare TEL 390.
No. It's a dry vacuum only.
