A school corridor with commercial carpet takes thousands of footsteps a day, and in a single motor upright one motor has to spin the brush and make the suction. The Powr-Flite Borelli Dual Pro PV160-W14-U splits the work between two motors: a 1,200 W vacuum motor for suction and a separate 222 W motor that only drives the brush roll.
Together that's 11.85 amps and 120 cfm, with 3-stage HEPA filtration, a metal brush roll with replaceable strips and a metal bottom plate. The nozzle sets its own height, the metal quick-draw wand gives you 12 feet of reach, and 60 feet of cord covers big rooms from one outlet. It carries the CRI Gold Seal.
I point buyers to the Borelli when the floors are mostly carpet and the vacuum runs every day: schools, office buildings, hotel corridors, churches. With its own motor, the brush roll keeps turning at full speed in dense carpet while the vacuum motor puts all its power into suction. The brush motor only runs when the handle is down in the working position, so when you stand it up to use the wand, the brush stops by itself.
Two honest notes. It's one speed with no quiet mode, rated at 69.9 dB(A), and at 24.2 lbs with the cord it's heavier than a single motor upright like the Rigel Deluxe (20.4 lbs). If you clean around people or carry the vacuum between floors a lot, the Rigel Deluxe is the easier machine to live with.
