Your Clarke CFP Pro 17HD or 20HD or CFP Pro 20DS floor machine came with one of these. The pad driver is the disc that holds a floor pad under the machine, so the same 175 RPM (or 185/330 RPM) motor can strip, scrub, spray buff or polish depending on the pad you put on it. It locks onto the gearbox hub with a quarter turn of the universal clutch plate, the same way a brush does.
Pick the size for your deck. The 17HD runs the 16-inch driver, MF-VF021, and takes 17-inch pads. The 20HD and 20DS run the 19-inch driver, MF-VF022, and take 20-inch pads.
Faster job changes. Keep a stripping pad on one driver and a buffing pad on another, and swap in seconds instead of peeling pads on the floor.
A worn or cracked driver. Once the face stops gripping, pads slip and spin off center. A new driver fixes the wobble.
A second machine in the fleet. Crews that share pads across machines keep a driver ready for each one.
Made for the CFP Pro. The same pad holder Clarke lists in the CFP Pro parts manuals, sized for the 17-inch and 20-inch decks.
Quarter-turn clutch plate. Locks onto the gearbox hub the same way your brush does, with no tools.
Takes any standard pad. Strip, scrub, spray buff or polish with the pad color the job calls for.
Unplug the machine. Put the handle upright and tilt the machine back until the handle rests on the floor. Set the clutch plate over the gearbox hub and turn the driver a quarter turn to lock it, then stand the machine back up. Clarke's manual says never to store a low-speed machine with the driver or brush still on, so take it off at the end of the shift. Pad drivers are wear items and aren't covered by Nilfisk's machine warranty except for manufacturing defects.
