Run Pads on Your Focus II Disc Deck

Your Clarke Focus II walk-behind scrubber disc models shipped with two of these. Each pad driver holds one round floor pad and hangs from the deck on a gimbal mount, so the pad tilts with dips in the floor instead of riding up on the high spots. Swap a worn driver, or keep a spare pair loaded so your crew can change from a scrub pad to a stripping pad without stopping to peel pads.

Choose the size for your deck: 13 inches (38035A) for the Disc 26, 14 inches (38036A) for the Disc 28 and 17 inches (38034A) for the Disc 34. Each driver takes a pad of the same size. They're sold one at a time, and the deck runs two. The 13-inch 38035A also fits the Focus II MicroRider Disc 26, which runs two as well.

Pad Driver or Brush?

A pad driver turns the Focus II into a pad machine for sealed VCT, LVT and sealed concrete, and for stripping with a black or brown pad. On grout lines and textured tile, a flat pad skims the low spots, so the matching Focus II disc scrub brushes do a better job there. The Cylindrical 28 and BOOST models don't use these drivers. Why Use the Genuine Clarke Pad Driver

• Gimbal mounted. The driver follows the floor, so the whole pad stays in contact and wears evenly.

• Sized to each deck. 13, 14 and 17-inch drivers, matched to the Disc 26, 28 and 34.

• Same part as the factory. The drivers Clarke ships on every Focus II disc model.

Changing the Pad Driver

Turn the key on, raise the scrub head, then turn the key off. Unlatch the right and left brush housings and lift them off. To remove a driver, push down on both sides of it until the gimbal releases. To fit one, slide it under the brush motor plate, line up the lugs on the motor gimbal with the slots in the driver's gimbal and pull it up until it locks. Repeat for the second driver, refit the housings and latch them. The Focus II operator manual has the photos. On the MicroRider, follow the pad driver steps in its own operator manual. Pad drivers are wear items and aren't covered by Nilfisk's machine warranty except for manufacturing defects.
