The VF90454 is the 20-inch pad holder for the Clarke CA30 20B battery scrubber. It holds one standard 20-inch floor pad, centered by the blue lock in the middle, and spins it at the deck's 160 RPM under 77 lb of pad pressure.
Clarke sells the CA30 20B two ways: with a disc brush or with a pad holder. If yours came with the brush, this holder turns it into a pad machine for sealed VCT, LVT and sealed concrete, and for stripping with a black or brown pad. If yours came with the pad holder, this is the replacement when the gripper face wears smooth, or a spare you keep loaded with a second pad color.
A pad gives an even, flat finish on smooth floors. On grout lines, textured tile and rough concrete, a flat pad skims over the low spots, and the Clarke VF90417 20-inch disk brush reaches into them. Our guide on brush vs pad walks through the choice.
Made for the 20B deck. The holder Clarke lists for the CA30 20B, so it locks onto the drive the way the factory part does.
Center lock included. The blue center lock keeps the pad centered so it wears evenly.
One machine, two jobs. Keep the brush for grout and textured tile, and the pad holder for smooth floors and stripping.
Turn the main switch off. Press down on the handle to lift the deck, slide the pad holder under it, then lower the deck back down onto the holder. Turn it by hand in the direction of the arrow on the deck until it locks on. The CA30 20B operator manual on this page has the photos. Clean the pad holder after each use, and fit the pad centered on the gripper face before you lower the deck.
