Classrooms packed with desks, offices full of chair legs, stairs between floors: an upright fights you in all of them. The Powr-Flite Newton PV610-Q10-U is a compact commercial canister that weighs 13.23 lbs and rolls along behind you on large wheels while the wand does the work.
A 1,200 W, 10 amp motor gives it 100 inches of water lift, and 3-stage filtration with an H13 HEPA bag holds 2.6 gallons of debris. It runs at 65 dB, and its 35 ft cord releases in one pull for a cleaning reach of 90 feet across the floor and 10 feet above it. Order it standard, or as a kit with an air turbine nozzle for deep carpet and pet hair.

Standard (#PV610-Q10-U). Comes with the 12-inch combination carpet and hard floor tool, a crevice tool and a dusting brush. Pick it for hard floors, low-pile office carpet and above-floor dusting. $149.
With Turbo Nozzle Kit (#PV610-Q10-KIT). Adds the X6001-TB air turbine nozzle. The vacuum's own airflow spins its brush, so it digs dirt out of carpet fibers and pulls up pet hair with no extra motor or cord. $26 more than the standard Newton.
Rule of thumb: if you vacuum entry mats, area rugs, upholstery or anywhere with pet hair, get the kit. If it's mostly hard floors and thin office carpet, the standard combo tool is enough.
The Newton is the canister I'd hand to a crew cleaning small rooms full of obstacles, or to a cleaner who works out of a car. At just over 13 pounds with a top carry handle, it goes up stairs and into a trunk without a fight, and the wand reaches under desks and beds where an upright head can't go. The quick cord release saves time every night: lift the handle and the whole cord drops free.
Two honest notes. It's a dry vacuum only, so keep it away from water and wet spills. And the 12-inch floor tool covers less ground per pass than a 14-inch upright, so for open carpet areas an upright like the Rigel Deluxe is faster.

Not the best fit: wet pickup of any kind, and big open carpet areas, where a 14 or 15-inch upright covers more ground per pass.
