Austrian TM5 20" CRB Replacement Brushes (Set of 2)

Your TM5 covers the big open carpet: lobbies, corridors, open-plan offices, ballrooms. Its 20-inch path is only as good as the two brushes under it. Once the bristles wear short, they stop reaching into the pile, and the machine pushes soil around instead of throwing it into the renovator trays.
These are the original Austrian TM5 brushes Carpet Cleaner America fits to new machines, sold as a pair because the TM5 runs two. They fit the TM5 only; the TM3 and TM4 take shorter brushes.
| Bristle | Part number | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Blue, standard | B 852 | The everyday brush. Cut-loop carpet, plus level loop, cut pile and needle felt |
| Brown, stiff | B 850 | Heavily soiled level loop, cut pile and needle felt in commercial buildings. Commercial use only |
Not sure where to start? Blue is the set the TM5 ships with and the one most routes run every night. Add a brown set for busy commercial traffic lanes. CCA doesn't make a soft brush for the TM5, so if you clean a lot of wool berber or saxony, the TM4 with white brushes is the better fit.
The original Austrian brushes, the same ones CCA fits to new TM5 machines, so the length and bristle height match what your machine was built for.
Sold as a pair, one for each counter-rotating axle, so both sides of your TM5 wear evenly.
2 bristle grades let you match the brush to the carpet instead of running one compromise set everywhere.
Color coded, so your crew can see which set is on the machine before the first pass.
Unplug the machine and lay it on its side. Push the brush axle in from one end and pull it out from the other, slide the old brush off, then fit the new one and feed the axle back in from the top. If it resists, turn the brush and axle gently while you push. Never force it.
Brown brushes need a break-in before their first job. Fit them and run the machine for 3 minutes on wet concrete. Skip it and the stiff new bristles can trip the breaker or stall the machine on start-up.
The grey and black brushes in the photo belong to CCA's PRO machines. Black is an extra stiff hard floor brush and will damage carpet, so it is not sold for the TM series. Brushes are wear parts, which CCA's machine warranty doesn't cover, so keep a spare set on the truck for the night yours wear out.
Your TM5 also takes the SPX onboard sprayer, and it brushes in dry carpet cleaning compound and encapsulating prespray. Running more than one machine? Here are the TM3 brushes and the TM4 brushes.

Yes. The TM5 runs two counter-rotating brushes, so each set has two and you replace both at once. That keeps both axles wearing at the same rate.
Carpet Cleaner America ships the TM5 with the standard brushes, which are the blue set. Order blue to replace like for like.
No. Each TM model takes its own brush length. The TM5 uses the 20-inch brushes on this page; the TM3 and TM4 have their own brush pages.
No. CCA makes the TM5 brush in blue standard and brown stiff only. The TM3 and TM4 both take a white soft brush.
Yes. Fit them and run the machine for 3 minutes on wet concrete before the first job. Without it, the stiff new bristles can trip the breaker or make the machine hard to start.
They are made for the Austrian TM5 that Carpet Cleaner America sells. Copies from other makers may use different lengths or axles, so check your machine's maker before you order.
