Clarke CarpetMaster 112 and 115 Single Motor Commercial Upright Vacuums, 12 or 15 Inches, Certified HEPA

Every evening the same rooms: classrooms, offices, a church hall, the carpet runner by the front door. The Clarke CarpetMaster 112 and 115 are single motor commercial upright vacuums made for that steady routine, with 92 inches of water lift, a 2,800 RPM chevron brush, a 50-foot safety yellow cord and certified HEPA filtration that captures 99.97% of particles larger than 0.3 microns.

Pick the 12-inch 112 for classrooms, offices and patient rooms, or the 15-inch 115 for corridors and larger rooms. Both carry the CRI Seal of Approval. Prices start at $712.

The Owner's Insights on the CarpetMaster 112 and 115

The single motor design is the simple part of this vacuum. One 1,000 W, 2-stage motor makes the suction and turns the brush through a belt. Fewer parts, a lower price and a little less weight: 19.8 lbs for the 112. You still get the same water lift and airflow numbers Clarke publishes for its dual motor 200 series, the same bag, the same tools and a certified HEPA filter. One custodian on Reddit says his 112 has been running for about 9 years, and that's the kind of machine this is.

Two honest limits. With one motor doing both jobs, a dual motor upright like the 215 keeps more power at the brush in thick, plush carpet. And like any upright, it's built for carpet. If most of your floors are hard, a canister or backpack is the better buy.

Why You'll Love These Commercial Upright Vacuums

  • Certified HEPA. A 3-stage system: 2-ply paper bag, motor protection filter and a certified HEPA exhaust filter rated 99.97% at 0.3 microns.

  • 92 inches of water lift, 93 cfm. Strong pickup and edge cleaning, so most carpet gets done in one pass.

  • Quick-draw wand and tools. A 4:1 stretch hose with crevice and upholstery tools tucked behind the wand.

  • Bag and clog light. It lights up when the bag is full or the airflow is blocked.

  • Tool-free brush access. The brush pulls out without tools, and the base opens for quick clog checks.

  • 50-foot safety yellow cord. With a cord restraint that protects against cord abuse.

  • Motor protection. An airflow bypass valve and thermal overload protection.

  • 69 dB(A) and CRI Seal of Approval. Clarke notes both help facilities meet LEED requirements.

12 or 15 Inches?

Both share the same motor, bag, filters, cord and onboard tools. Width is the only choice. Tap a picture to see it up close.

Clarke CarpetMaster 112 12-inch single motor upright vacuum

CarpetMaster 112, 12-inch. An 11.5-inch cleaning path at 19.8 lbs. Pick it for classrooms, offices, patient rooms and anywhere furniture sits close together.

Clarke CarpetMaster 115 15-inch single motor upright vacuum

CarpetMaster 115, 15-inch. A 14.5-inch path at 20.1 lbs for corridors, meeting rooms and larger offices. $139 more than the 112.

Need an 18-inch head or a separate brush motor? The CarpetMaster 212, 215 and 218 dual motor uprights use the same bags, filters and tools. The 212 is $190 more than the 112. Not sure which fits? Call (855) 601-5678 and tell us about your floors.

CarpetMaster or Another Commercial Upright?

Lowest price with HEPA? The Tornado Deluxe CVD 30 is a 12-inch single motor HEPA upright for $163 less than the 112. The CarpetMaster adds the stretch hose and two tools on board, a 50-foot cord and Nilfisk's parts network.

Want a dual motor for about the same money? The NaceCare N12 costs $33 less than the 112 and weighs 15 lbs. It has a 40-foot cord and isn't HEPA rated, so pick the 112 when air quality matters, in schools and healthcare.

Mixed floors or stairs? Look at a canister or backpack instead. See every option in our commercial upright vacuums collection, read what a HEPA vacuum is and when you need one, or our guide to the best vacuum for commercial cleaning.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the CarpetMaster 112 and 115?

Only the width. The 112 cleans an 11.5-inch path and weighs 19.8 lbs; the 115 cleans a 14.5-inch path and weighs 20.1 lbs. Motor, bag, filters, cord and onboard tools are the same.

What's the difference between the CarpetMaster 100 and 200 series?

The 100 series (112, 115) uses one 1,000 W motor that makes the suction and drives the brush by belt. The 200 series (212, 215, 218) adds a separate 350 W brush motor, stops the brush while you use the wand and offers an 18-inch size, for more money and about a pound more weight. Both share the same body, bags, filters and tools.

Is the CarpetMaster 112 a certified HEPA vacuum?

Yes. Clarke lists its exhaust filter as certified HEPA, capturing 99.97% of particles larger than 0.3 microns, behind a 2-ply paper bag and a motor protection filter.

Can it vacuum hard floors?

It's built for carpet. Use the wand and tools for hard floor edges and small areas. If most of your floors are hard, a canister or backpack vacuum is the better fit.

Which bags does it use?

Clarke paper bags 107413584, 10 bags and 2 pre-filters per pack, or the reusable cloth bag. The same bags fit every CarpetMaster 112, 115, 212, 215 and 218.

How often should I change the filters?

Change the bag when the indicator light comes on. Clarke's use and care guide says to change the pre-filter every 5th bag and the HEPA filter once or twice a year, depending on use. We carry the pre-filter kit and the exhaust filter.

How long is the cord, and how loud is it?

The cord is 50 feet of safety yellow 18/3 wire. Clarke rates the CarpetMaster 112 and 115 at 69 dB(A).

What warranty does the CarpetMaster have?

Nilfisk's current US limited warranty covers upright vacuums for 2 years on parts and 2 years on labor. The warranty PDF is in the downloads above.
