EDIC Saturn Pad Drivers: the Genuine Driver for Your 17 or 20 Inch Floor Machine

The pad driver is the plate that holds a floor pad flat under your Saturn and turns it. It takes a beating: the gripping face wears smooth, the center clutch cracks after a drop off a tailgate, and a crew that strips and scrubs on the same night is faster with a second driver loaded and ready. These are EDIC's own pad drivers for the Saturn low speed, dual speed and heavy duty floor machines.

Choose by machine size: the 16 inch 1603BR for 17 inch Saturns at $81, or the 19 inch 1903BR for 20 inch Saturns at $100. Each carries a full-size pad for its machine: a 17 inch pad on the 1603BR, a 20 inch pad on the 1903BR.

To change a pad, unplug the machine, tip it back on its wheels, center the pad on the driver and press it onto the gripping face. Remove the pad and driver before you store the machine, so the driver doesn't take a set under the machine's weight.

Which size do I need?

Match it to your machine. 17 inch Saturns (17LS3-BK-SV, 17DS3-BK-SV, 17LS4-BK-SV) take the 16 inch 1603BR. 20 inch Saturns (20LS3-BK-SV, 20DS3-BK-SV, 20LS4-BK-SV) take the 19 inch 1903BR. The first two digits of the model number on the nameplate give the machine size.

Doesn't a new Saturn come with a pad driver?

Yes, every Saturn low speed, dual speed and heavy duty machine ships with one. This page is for a replacement, or for a second driver so you can keep one pad loaded for stripping and another for scrubbing.

What pads go on it?

A 17 inch floor pad on the 1603BR and a 20 inch pad on the 1903BR, rated for low speed machines: stripping, scrubbing or bonnet pads. Tell us the job and we'll suggest a pad.

Does it fit my Saturn high speed burnisher?

No. The 20 inch Saturn SV high speed burnisher uses the 2004BR flex-lock pad driver, built for 1500 and 2000 RPM.

Will it fit another brand of floor machine?

EDIC lists these drivers for its Saturn machines only. Clutch plates differ between brands, so we can't promise a fit on other machines. Send us the make and model and we'll check before you order.

What is the warranty?

EDIC's standard limited warranty covers defects in material and workmanship. Pad drivers are wear items, so a driver worn out from use is a normal replacement. Call or message us with your order number and we'll handle any claim with EDIC.
