This is Nilfisk's genuine HEPA filter for the Clarke Comfort Pak backpack vacuum. One part number, 147 1104 500, fits both the Comfort Pak 6 and the Comfort Pak 10, so a mixed fleet only needs one filter on the shelf.

The Comfort Pak comes with 4-stage filtration, and Clarke offers this HEPA filter as the optional upgrade for crews that want HEPA filtration on top of the standard filters. You get one complete filter in its plastic frame, ready to twist into place.


Where the HEPA Filter Fits

The Comfort Pak's standard filters are the paper dust bag, the main filter (sack filter) around it, a round pre-filter on top of the motor and the exhaust filter. The HEPA filter sits on top of the motor base, over the pre-filter, under the container that holds the bag and main filter.


Installing and Replacing It

Unplug the vacuum, release the lower latches that hold the container to the motor base, and lift the container and lid off together. Turn the HEPA filter counterclockwise and lift it straight up, then fit the new one the same way in reverse. Hold it by the plastic frame, not the filter surface.

A HEPA filter can't be washed or cleaned. Check it often and replace it once it's dirty. Nilfisk doesn't set a fixed interval, so how often depends on how much dust your routes pick up. Never run the vacuum without the pre-filter in place.
