Clarke® Maxxi II™ 35 Wet/Dry Vacuum, 9 Gallon, with Tool Kit

A supply line lets go under the break room sink at 4 p.m. and there's an inch of water heading for the carpet. You don't need a 60 lb stainless tank vac for that. You need something one person can grab off a shelf, carry down the hall and plug in at the far end of the room. That's the job the Clarke Maxxi II 35 wet/dry vacuum was built for.
It holds 9 gallons (35 L), runs a 1,100 W motor that moves 101 CFM of air and weighs just 25 lbs. The 50 ft cord covers most rooms from one outlet, and the 6 ft hose, stainless steel extension wand, two floor nozzles and crevice tool all store on the machine, so nothing gets left behind in the van.
The filter system is what separates it from a hardware store shop vac. A pleated cartridge filter, a blue mesh wet filter and a float cage work together for both wet and dry pickup, so you don't swap filters between jobs. When the tank is full, the float closes off the suction and dirty water never reaches the motor. Job done, rinse the filters and let them dry.
I'd put the Maxxi II 35 in the hands of anyone who cleans more than one site a day: a restaurant, a small office, a clinic, a shop floor between jobs. At 25 lbs you lift it into a truck with one hand, and a 50 ft cord means you move the plug far less often than with the 15 to 30 ft cords on most vacs this size. The motor head lifts straight off the tank, so checking the filter takes seconds.
Now the honest part. Its 72 inches of waterlift is the lowest in the comparison below, where the Taskforce and Shovelnose pull 90 inches, and you'll feel that when you pull water through carpet. The 6 ft hose is short, there's no drain hose (you lift the head off and pour the tank out) and there's no front-mount squeegee. If you pick up water from big open floors every day, one of the larger vacs below will serve you better.
9 gallons in a 25 lb machine. About half the weight of a 15 gallon stainless tank vac, and small enough (19 x 17 x 29 in) for a janitor closet shelf.
One filter setup for wet and dry. The cartridge filter has 321 sq in of media and the wet filter 163 sq in. Go from sawdust to a puddle without opening the head.
Float shutoff. Suction stops when the tank is full, which protects the motor from water.
50 ft power cord. Clean a whole classroom or dining room from a single outlet.
Complete tool kit included. 6 ft x 1.25 in hose, stainless steel extension wand, rubber strip floor nozzle for water, brush floor nozzle for dry debris and a crevice tool.
Everything rides on board. The wand clips to the tube holder, the tools sit in the rear storage and the cord wraps on the body.
HEPA ready. Swap in the optional H13 HEPA cartridge (107409006) for fine dust in clinics and schools.
3 year parts and labor warranty from Nilfisk, plus 1 year of travel.

The Taskforce 15 costs just $23 more and gives you 6 more gallons, a stainless steel tank and 90 inches of waterlift, but at 52 lbs it's a two-handed lift and the cord is 20 ft shorter. The Taskforce 20 adds a front-mount squeegee for $255 more, which pays off when you pick up stripper or scrub water. The Shovelnose costs $595 more and is the one for water on big open floors every day. If your messes are mostly small spills, dust and debris at several sites, the Maxxi II 35 is the easiest of the four to live with. See every size in our commercial wet/dry vacuums collection.
There are no bags to buy for wet work. The cartridge filter and the wet filter rinse clean and go back in, and you only replace them when they tear or stop coming clean. Keep a spare cartridge on the shelf so the vac can work while the other one dries. These are the Nilfisk part numbers for the Maxxi II 35. Call or message us and we'll quote any of them.

Need a dry vacuum for the rest of the route? Our guide to the best vacuum for commercial cleaning maps each vacuum type to the job.
Yes. The cartridge filter, the blue mesh wet filter and the float cage work together for both jobs, so you can go from dry debris to a spill without opening the head. After a wet job, rinse the filters and let them dry before you vacuum fine dust again.
Lift the motor head off and pour the tank out. There's no drain hose on the Maxxi II 35. You don't have to watch the level while you work: when the tank is full, the float closes off the suction so water can't reach the motor.
For spills and small floods on carpet, yes. It's rated at 72 inches of waterlift, which is lower than the 90 inches of the Tornado Taskforce 15 and 20 or the Viper Shovelnose. If you pull water from carpet every day, one of those, or a carpet extractor, is the better tool. Compare them in our commercial wet/dry vacuums collection.
A 6 ft x 1.25 in hose, a stainless steel extension wand, a rubber strip floor nozzle for water, a brush floor nozzle for dry debris and a crevice tool. The wand clips onto the machine and the tools store on the back.
Not as standard. The standard cartridge filter handles everyday dust, and Nilfisk makes an optional H13 HEPA cartridge filter (part 107409006) for fine dust in clinics, schools and offices. Call us and we'll quote it.
Clarke rates it at 81 dB(A), about the same as the Viper Shovelnose. That's fine for after-hours cleaning and back-of-house spills, but loud enough that you'll want to wait for an empty room in a quiet office.
It ships directly from the manufacturer's US distribution network, and you'll get tracking by email as soon as it leaves. If you need it by a specific date, call (855) 601-5678 before you order and we'll confirm availability.
Yes, under our return policy, which explains the conditions and how to start a return. If you're unsure it's the right vacuum, call us first and we'll help you pick, even if that means a different model.
Nilfisk covers its wet/dry vacuums for 3 years on parts, 3 years on labor and 1 year of travel. The full Nilfisk warranty document is in the downloads on this page, and we're an authorized Clarke retailer, so the warranty applies to every machine we sell.
