Finishing a long hallway is the easy part. The time goes into the classrooms, offices, nurse stations and restrooms, where a big applicator can't turn and your crew goes back to a mop, a bucket and a wringer, one room at a time.
The Fas-Trak Micro-Trak Plus is built for those rooms. It's a gravity-fed floor finish applicator with a 1.5 gallon removable tank and a 16-inch microfiber pad. You fill the tank, open the flow, and lay finish down in a thin, even coat. No bucket, no wringer, and nothing strapped to your back.
Fas-Trak rates it at about 8,000 square feet an hour, roughly three times the pace of a mop and bucket, with about 3,000 square feet per fill. Expect less once you count edges, doorways and refills. Even at half that pace, you're well ahead of a mop crew, and the coat goes down more evenly.
Be honest about scale, though. For long corridors, gyms and open floors, the Fas-Trak Ultra-Trak Plus covers up to 25,000 square feet an hour. Plenty of crews run both: the Ultra-Trak in the halls and the Micro-Trak in the rooms off them.

How to Apply Floor Finish with the Micro-Trak Plus
Start with a clean, dry floor that has been stripped or deep scrubbed and rinsed. Fit a clean microfiber pad, fill the tank with finish, and set the unit on its tray until you're ready. Cut in along the walls first, then work in straight, slightly overlapping passes toward the door so you never walk on a wet coat. Let each coat dry as your finish maker directs before the next one.
When you're done, lift out the tank and pour what's left back into the original container. Rinse the tank, valve and manifold with water right away, before finish dries inside them. Fas-Trak's own advice is just as simple for the pad: rinse it with water, or seal it in a plastic bag for the next job.
Is the Micro-Trak Plus Right for You?
It fits you best if you run a school or university custodial team, or a cleaning business that refinishes offices, clinics, stores and restrooms. It's the right size for rooms under a few thousand square feet and for the detail work around a larger job.
It only applies finish. You still need a floor machine or an auto scrubber to strip and prep the floor first. And for big, open areas, the Ultra-Trak Plus will save you far more labor.
Micro-Trak Plus Maintenance and Warranty
Upkeep is mostly the rinse after each job. Finish that dries in the valve or manifold is what slows the flow and stiffens the pad. Replacement pads are 100% looped microfiber, sold five to a case under part number FTS-1015. Swap a pad when it stays stiff or starts leaving streaks after rinsing.
Fas-Trak's current warranty policy covers the Micro-Trak Plus for 60 days against defects in workmanship and materials. An older brochure lists one year, so we go by the current policy and tell you up front. Here's our return policy.

Fas-Trak rates a 1.5 gallon fill at about 3,000 sq ft. Your real number depends on the finish and how porous the floor is, so plan a little less on freshly stripped VCT.
