This is the genuine Nilfisk 58002022, the 25.2V 5Ah lithium-ion CORE-ion battery that ships with every US Dryft. One charge gives you up to 75 minutes in smooth floor mode and up to 60 minutes in rough floor mode. It reaches 90% in about 60 minutes and a full charge in 95. That's the math that makes two batteries work: one charges on the shelf while the other runs the machine, so the Dryft can keep going for most of a shift.

Do You Need a Spare Dryft Battery?

Maybe not. If your Dryft cleans one café, a small office or a restroom block in under an hour, the battery in the box covers the job. A spare earns its place when you clean more than an hour at a stretch, run a route with several buildings between charges, or share one machine across shifts.

It's also the fix for an older pack. Nilfisk's manual expects about 260 full charges a year, and after that first year the runtime settles at about 67 minutes on smooth floors and 54 minutes on rough floors. That drop is normal for lithium-ion. If yours now runs well short of that, a new battery brings the full runtime back.

Will This Battery Fit My Dryft?

It fits the Nilfisk Dryft micro scrubber. The Dryft parts list (document 58002112) lists it for models 58002000, 58002001, 58002002 and 58002003, and 58002022 is the US version. Nilfisk sells a separate international version under part 58002020, so check the number if you're matching an existing battery. It charges on the same Nilfisk 24V 5A US charger (58002033) that came with your Dryft.

Charging and Storage Tips From the Manual

• Charge before first use, after each use, and at least every four months when the battery sits unused.

• Charge indoors between 40°F and 105°F (5°C to 40°C). Never charge a battery that is wet or shows corrosion.

• Take the battery out of the machine when the cleaning is done, and store it indoors, dry, and away from loose metal objects.

• If the fault light comes on, the battery has overheated from heavy use. Let it cool before you charge or run it again.

• Don't open, heat above 122°F (50°C) or submerge the pack. If the case cracks, stop using it and replace it.
