On carpet, an Orbot's own weight is plenty. On hard floors it's a different story. Stripping finish with AkwaStrip pads, scrubbing grout or restoring stone goes faster when the pad presses harder. The weight kit adds that pressure, and Orbot says it lets you choose how much weight the job needs.
| Your machine | Choose |
|---|---|
| Orbot LiO (14Β in) | 14" (LiO), 24 lb |
| Orbot Vibe, SprayBorg or LiFE (17Β in) | 17" (Vibe, SprayBorg, LiFE), 40 lb |
There's no weight kit on Orbot's price list for the 11-inch SLiM.
Adjustable pressure for cleaning, scrubbing, stripping and polishing hard floors.
Faster stripping with AkwaStrip pads, since the pad bites harder into the finish.
Deeper grout cleaning with the SpeedFlex Tile and Grout Brush.
Orbot makes the kit for hard floors. On carpet, run without it. More weight means more drag, and the 40 lb kit is real weight to lift when you load the machine into a van. Take it off for transport.
