MotorScrubber SHOCK Oscillating Floor Scrubber


The MotorScrubber SHOCK is a cordless oscillating scrubber for the floor a walk-behind machine can't reach: around toilets and under partitions, along baseboards, into corners, under furniture and up stair treads and risers. The head is only 4.1 inches tall with 1.9 inch wings, and MotorScrubber calls it the lowest profile oscillating floor machine in the world.

A 5,000 rpm brushless digital motor drives a 9.8 inch oscillating pad at up to 83 scrubs per second, per MotorScrubber. Oscillation suits smooth and lightly textured hard floors, and MotorScrubber says the SHOCK pad handles most jobs with water alone.

The battery, a 1 liter solution bottle and the spray pump ride in a Gen 3 backpack, so the machine weighs only 7.7 lb, or 11.7 lb with the weight kit in.

Heavyweight or Lightweight Mode

Drop the 4 lb weight kit into the head for more downforce on floors, edges and corners. Take it out to make the machine easier to handle on stairs and baseboards.

The head pivots 90 degrees, so it goes from tread to riser without lifting off, and it flips vertical for baseboards.

Plan Your Runtime

The SHOCK runs about 50 minutes per battery and recharges in up to 4 hours. For longer shifts, keep a spare 12V7ADC battery ($60.16) charged.

With the SAE to DC adaptor ($6.91), the US charger ($40.76) charges the spare outside the backpack while you keep cleaning.


Which Package Do I Need?

Starter Kit is the complete machine: the SHOCK with telescopic handle, the Gen 3 battery backpack with bottle and pump, the charger, the MAGPlate pad holder, the weight kit and five pads.

No Backpack or Charger is the SHOCK with handle, MAGPlate pad holder, weight kit and five pads. It runs off a MotorScrubber Gen 3 backpack you already own, like the one that comes with the JET3.

Head Only is the SHOCK cleaning head alone. MotorScrubber sells it for owners of a JET3 or M3 handle and backpack. An M3 backpack has no bottle or pump, so on an M3 it scrubs without spray.

What's the difference between the SHOCK and the JET3 or M3?

The SHOCK drives a flat 9.8 inch pad in a fast oscillating motion, which suits smooth and lightly textured floors and fits under low obstacles. The JET3 ($1,184.04) and M3 (from $762.84) spin a 7.1 inch brush at 360 rpm, better for grout lines and heavily textured tile. All three use MotorScrubber's battery backpack system.

Does the SHOCK pick up dirty water?

No. It scrubs and sprays. Pick up the slurry with a wet vac, mop or squeegee. To scrub and recover water in one pass, see our compact floor scrubbers.

How long does the battery last?

About 50 minutes per charge, and up to 4 hours to recharge. A spare 12V7ADC battery ($60.16) keeps you working, and the SAE to DC adaptor ($6.91) lets the charger top it up outside the backpack.

Can it clean stairs and baseboards?

Yes. Take the weight kit out for lightweight mode. The head pivots 90 degrees from tread to riser and flips vertical for baseboards.

Which pad should I use?

Per MotorScrubber: the microfiber pad for daily maintenance on hard floors and low-moisture carpet cleaning, the melamine pad for scuffs and marks using water, the green thinline pad for greasy or heavily soiled smooth floors, and the maroon pad for dry stripping polish on vinyl, safety flooring, concrete and stone. The SHOCK pad is a washable, non-scratch pad for smooth and lightly textured hard floors. Spare microfiber pads are sold separately too.

Can I use the SHOCK in a pool or submerge it?

No. Unlike the JET3 and M3, MotorScrubber doesn't rate the SHOCK head as submersible, and its warranty excludes underwater use. Wipe it down after use and keep the charger dry.

What's in the No Backpack and Head Only packages?

No Backpack or Charger: the SHOCK with handle, MAGPlate pad holder, weight kit and five pads, to run on a Gen 3 backpack you own. Head Only: the cleaning head alone, for an existing JET3 or M3 handle and backpack.

What warranty does the SHOCK have?

MotorScrubber covers the SHOCK for 1 year, extended to 3 years when you register the serial number. The warranty covers parts. Pads, the MAGPlate pad holder and the glide wheels are consumables and aren't covered.
