Charge a Spare Duplex Lite Battery While the Other One Works

This is the charger for the NaceCare Duplex 48 V Lite Battery, the lithium-ion pack that powers the cordless Duplex 420 scrubbers. It puts out 67.2 V at 5 A, and NaceCare rates a full recharge at about one hour. A full battery runs the machine for up to 50 minutes.

Most buyers pick it up for one of two reasons. The original charger is lost or damaged, or the crew runs two batteries and wants one charging on the shelf while the other is in the machine. With a one-hour charge and a 50-minute runtime, two batteries and a second charger keep a Duplex cleaning through a full shift without waiting on a plug.

The charger is a finned aluminum case with a built-in cooling fan and a replaceable fuse on the end panel. It plugs into a standard 120 V wall outlet with a detachable cord of roughly 4 feet. Two lights next to the fuse tell you where things stand: LED1 glows red when the charger has power, and LED2 is red while the battery charges and turns green when it is full. Use it only with the Lite Battery. It is not an NX300 charger and will not fit the batteries on NaceCare's NX scrubbers and vacuums.

Which Duplex Machines Does It Work With?

Any Duplex 420 that runs on the Lite Battery:

The corded DP 420 has no battery and doesn't need this charger. Not sure which Duplex you have? Send us the model plate photo or call (855) 601-5678 and we'll confirm the fit before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which machines use this charger?

Any Duplex 420 running the 48 V Lite Battery: the DHB 420, the DHB 420 Deluxe, and the DH 420 or DH 420 with Steam once the optional Lite Battery is added. The corded DP 420 has no battery.

How long does a charge take?

NaceCare rates a full recharge of the Lite Battery at about one hour, and a full battery runs the machine for up to 50 minutes.

How do I know when the battery is charged?

There are two lights on the charger's end panel. LED1 glows red whenever the charger has power. LED2 is red while the battery is charging and turns green when the charge is complete.

How long is the power cord?

The detachable AC cord is about 4 feet, enough to reach a standard wall outlet from a shelf or workbench.

What is the charger's output?

67.2 V DC at 5 A, matched to the 48 V Lite lithium-ion battery. Don't use it on other battery types.

Will it charge my NX300 battery?

No. The NX300 battery on NaceCare's NX scrubbers and vacuums uses its own NX300 charger. This charger is only for the Duplex Lite Battery.

Does it come with a battery?

No, this is the charger only. The Duplex Lite Battery (part 42048003) is sold separately and carries a 2-year NaceCare warranty.

How does shipping and returns work?
