NaceCare NBV 240NX / NBV 240NXH Cordless Canister Vacuum

It's 2 p.m. in a hotel corridor. Guests are walking past, a housekeeping cart is parked by the elevator, and your corded vacuum has a 33-foot cord stretched across the hall. One distracted guest and you have a trip report. The NaceCare NBV 240NX cordless canister vacuum has no cord at all. It runs on a 36-volt NX300 lithium battery for up to 90 minutes, at 49 dB(A), quieter than people talking in the hallway.
Inside is a 350-watt brushless motor with two speeds, 75 cfm of airflow and 82 inches of water lift. It filters to 0.3 micron at 99.97%, which NaceCare says meets the HEPA spec for non-hazardous dust. The 2.5-gallon tank sits in the same red Numatic body as the Henry, and the whole machine weighs 18 lbs.
Need certified HEPA for a clinic, lab or clean area? Pick the NBV 240NXH option above, same machine with a certified HEPA filter.
The thing I like most about this machine is the battery, not the vacuum. The NX300 pack slides out with one hand and is the same battery that runs NaceCare's backpack vacuums and compact scrubbers. If your building already has a 440NX or an RBV 150NX, your spare battery fits this canister too.
Weight-wise it's 18 lbs, so it goes up a flight of stairs in one hand, and the power switch and battery gauge sit on the front where you can see them. Be honest about two limits. It's a dry vacuum only. And 90 minutes is on the low setting; on high you get about 55. If your crew vacuums for three hours straight, buy the two-battery version or plan a charging break.
No cord, up to 90 minutes. Nothing to trip guests or staff, and no hunting for outlets between rooms.
49 dB(A). Normal conversation runs around 60 dB, so you can vacuum lobbies, offices and patient areas while they're occupied.
350 W brushless motor, 2,800+ hour life. NaceCare backs the motor for 5 years on its spec sheet.
NX300 lithium battery, 2,500+ cycles. NaceCare puts that at about 10 years of daily use, and it charges to 80% in an hour.
99.97% at 0.3 micron. Dust stays in the HepaFlo bag instead of settling back on desks and shelves.
79% soil recovery. More grit out of the carpet means it looks better longer between extractions.
Tough bumper and big rear wheels. It rolls over thresholds and won't mark walls or door frames.
Every NBV 240NX comes with one NX300 battery and a charger. The option you pick decides what touches the floor and which filter is inside. Tap a picture to see it up close.

AST2, 12-inch combo floor tool. The standard kit at $1,399: a 9-foot hose, a 3-piece stainless steel telescopic wand and a combo tool that switches between carpet and hard floor. Right for most mixed floors.

AST6, 15-inch carpet kit. The same hose and wand with NaceCare's 15-inch Sidewinder carpet tool, at the same price as the AST2. It covers more carpet per pass, so it suits open offices, meeting rooms and long carpeted halls.

13-inch battery power brush. A motorized brush on its own 24-volt lithium power wand, with its own fast charger in the box, up to 50 minutes per charge. NaceCare lists this setup as CRI Silver approved. It costs $400 more than the AST2 and is the one to pick when most of your floor is carpet.

Certified HEPA, NBV 240NXH with AST2. The same machine with a certified HEPA filter and a cap that seals the tank, for $180 more than the standard AST2. NaceCare sells the 240NXH with the AST2 kit only.
One battery or two? A second NX300 in the box adds $575. Bought later on its own, the NX300 battery is $699. With two, one battery charges while the other cleans, and a 1-hour charge to 80% keeps up with a 55 to 90 minute run. If one charge covers your route, one battery is enough.

The standard NBV 240NX already filters to 0.3 micron at 99.97% with its HepaFlo bag and TriTex filter, which NaceCare says meets the HEPA spec for non-hazardous dust. That covers offices, schools and hotels.
The NBV 240NXH adds a certified HEPA filter, tested to EN/IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA with sodium chloride, plus a cap that seals the tank. It's the cordless HEPA vacuum to pick for clinics, labs, server rooms and anyone who has to show a certified filter on paper. The owner manual lists the filter as an H14 (part 918048) that can be washed up to four times before replacement.
One honest limit. NaceCare's product page mentions hazardous dust, but the owner manual says this machine is not for hazardous, biological or explosive dust. For regulated work like asbestos, lead or silica, use a vacuum certified for that job.
NaceCare rates the NBV 240NX at 10,000 square feet an hour. That assumes nonstop passes. Take off 30% to 50% for furniture, edges and emptying, and plan on roughly 5,000 to 7,000 square feet an hour.
On the low setting, one charge (up to 90 minutes) covers about 7,500 to 10,500 square feet. On high (about 55 minutes), plan on 4,600 to 6,400. A 15,000 square foot office floor is one battery plus a swap, which is exactly what the two-battery option is for.
The running cost is bags. The owner manual specifies NVM-1CH HepaFlo bags, and NaceCare lists a 10-pack at $32.
The NaceCare NBV 290NX has the same motor, battery and filtration in a 3.5-gallon structural foam tank, with a telescopic pull handle and a lift-off caddy for supplies or a spare battery. It weighs 23 lbs and costs $150 more. Pick it if your route is long and you'd rather pull the machine than carry it.
If the cord doesn't bother you, the corded NaceCare Henry PPR 240 has the same body and a 680 W motor for $800 less. For stairs, fixed seating and tight furniture, the NaceCare RBV 150NX cordless backpack vacuum runs on the same NX300 battery. Or browse every type in our commercial vacuums collection.
NaceCare is Numatic's North American distributor, and Numatic has built its red canisters in England since the early 1980s, so parts and service aren't going anywhere. The NX300 battery runs a whole family of NaceCare vacuums and scrubbers, so one spare covers several machines. We're an authorized NaceCare retailer, so the full NaceCare warranty comes with every machine. Found a lower price? Call or message us and we'll beat it.

Same 350 W brushless motor, 2.5-gallon tank, NX300 battery, 90-minute runtime and 49 dB(A). The NBV 240NXH adds a certified HEPA filter, tested to EN/IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA, and a cap that seals the tank. It weighs 19 lbs instead of 18, and NaceCare sells it with the AST2 kit only.
No. NaceCare's product page mentions hazardous dust, but the owner manual says the machine is not suitable for hazardous, biological or explosive dust. Use the 240NXH for fine dust in clinics, labs, server rooms and clean areas, and use a vacuum certified for regulated abatement work.
Up to 90 minutes on low and about 55 on high, per NaceCare's spec sheet. The NX300 charges to 80% in 1 hour and 100% in 2, and NaceCare rates it at more than 2,500 cycles, about 10 years of daily use.
NaceCare rates the machine at 10,000 square feet an hour. Allowing 30% to 50% for furniture, edges and emptying, plan on about 7,500 to 10,500 square feet per charge on low and 4,600 to 6,400 on high.
If one charge covers your route, one is enough. If not, the 2 Batteries option puts a second NX300 in the box for less than buying one later, and you swap it in with a single touch while the first one charges.
Yes. The NX300 (913686) is shared across NaceCare's NX machines, including the RBV 150NX backpack, the 220NX and 440NX ultra-compact scrubbers and the TGB 516NX and TGB 817NX scrubbers.
The owner manual lists NVM-1CH HepaFlo bags and the TriTex filter (909559). The NBV 240NXH uses an H14 filter (918048) that can be washed up to four times; replace it by the date on its label.
No. The NBV 240NX and 240NXH are dry vacuums only. For spills, look at a wet/dry vacuum.
10 years on the body, 5 years on the motor per NaceCare's NBV 240NX spec sheet (the 2025 warranty chart lists 2 years, which is what applies to the 240NXH), 4 years pro-rated on the NX300 battery (2 years exchange, then 2 years pro-rated), and 2 years on the charger, parts and labor.
