The floor crew just stripped a 5,000 square foot hallway and there's a lake of stripper slurry waiting. A small shop vac would need a dozen trips to the drain. The Powr-Flite PF57 is Powr-Flite's most heavy duty wet dry vacuum, built for exactly that.
It runs two 1.6 HP, 1,200 W motors for 192 cfm of airflow and 80 inches of waterlift, pulling into a 20 gallon, 18 gauge stainless steel tank that won't crack or rust. When it's full, the tank's tip and pour cart lets you dump it into a floor drain without lifting it.
It comes complete with a 1.5" x 10 ft swivel hose, a 2-piece stainless wand, 14" carpet and squeegee tools, plus crevice and dusting tools.
Pick this one when volume is the problem: floor stripping, flooded rooms, warehouse spills, or crews who are tired of emptying a small tank every few minutes. Two motors move a lot more air than one, so water and debris come up fast.
Two honest trade-offs. First, it weighs 78 lbs, so it's a machine you roll, not one you carry upstairs. Second, the waterlift is 80 inches, a bit less than single motor vacs at 90 to 100 inches. That matters most when pulling water out of thick carpet. For hard floors, slurry and standing water, the extra airflow wins. And before wet pickup, take out the dry cloth filter and the paper filter.
