NaceCare CRL 2128 28" Compact Ride-On Floor Scrubber, NX1K Lithium Battery

It's 10 p.m. and one custodian still has the cafeteria, the main corridor and the gym lobby to scrub, about 30,000 square feet of VCT. Walking a 28-inch scrubber over that floor is almost two and a half miles of passes before you count the overlap. On the NaceCare CRL 2128 compact ride-on floor scrubber, the same operator sits down, scrubs and dries in one pass, and finishes the route without the sore legs.
The CRL 2128 gives you a 28-inch (711 mm) cleaning path from two 14-inch brushes, 21-gallon solution and recovery tanks and NaceCare's NX1K lithium iron phosphate battery. The CRL 2128/50T runs on one battery for 1 hour 40 minutes. The CRL 2128/100T carries two and runs 3 hours 10 minutes.
The body is only 50 inches long and 30 inches wide on NaceCare's spec sheet, and NaceCare says it fits in the same closet as a walk-behind. Rear-wheel drive takes it up ramps to 11%, and it works at 65 dB(A), so it can run while the building is still open.
This is the first NaceCare ride-on we carry, and it's the one I'd point to when someone asks whether they're ready for a rider. It isn't a warehouse machine. It's a walk-behind footprint with a seat. The brushes load themselves: you roll the machine over them with the deck up, lower the deck and hold the brush button until it picks them up. The top tank lifts on a gas strut, so the batteries and the tank filter are right there when you need them.
It's a great fit for schools, clinics, office buildings, grocery stores and churches with long corridors and open rooms, roughly 15,000 to 60,000 square feet a night. Two honest notes. Its 70 lbs of brush pressure is on the light side for a 28-inch machine, so for greasy kitchens or stained concrete the TBL 2228T walk-behind, at 110 lbs, scrubs harder. And it won't drive in reverse with the squeegee down, so plan your passes to finish facing out of dead ends.
You sit, the machine works. No pushing and no miles of walking, so the last hour of the shift is as careful as the first.
43,300 sq ft/hr rating. A 28-inch path at riding speed covers open floor far faster than a person walking behind a machine.
NX1K lithium batteries. No watering or acid, rated for 4,000+ charge cycles, with a 5-year NaceCare battery warranty.
Charge whenever you stop. The on-board charger plugs into a standard outlet, and LFP batteries don't mind a top-up at lunch.
21-gallon tanks. Fewer trips to the mop sink on a big floor.
Walk-behind footprint. 50 by 30 inches, so it parks in a janitor's closet instead of a loading dock.
Safety you'd expect on a bigger rider. A seat sensor stops the machine when the operator stands up, and an anti-tip system slows it in fast turns. There's also an emergency stop, a horn and a pedestrian warning light.
Breakaway squeegee. If it catches a door frame, it knocks off its mount instead of bending.
65 dB(A). Normal conversation runs around 60 dB, so it can clean occupied spaces.
Nu-Assist app. Training videos and troubleshooting on your phone, around the clock.
Square feet per hour. NaceCare rates the CRL 2128 at 43,300 square feet an hour and its 28-inch traction walk-behind, the TBL 2228T, at 31,000 on the same path width. That gap is speed: the ratings work out to about 3.5 mph riding against about 2.5 mph walking. After 30% to 50% for turns, refills and edges, plan on roughly 21,650 to 30,310 square feet an hour on the rider and 15,500 to 21,700 on the walk-behind.
Operator fatigue. Every 10,000 square feet at a 28-inch path is about 0.8 miles of passes. A walk-behind operator covers that on foot, steering and pushing, every night. On the CRL 2128 they sit, and a rested operator overlaps passes properly and doesn't skip the far end of the gym at 11 p.m.
The 28-inch path. Twenty-eight inches is as wide as walk-behinds usually get, so what the rider adds is speed and a seat, in a footprint that's still walk-behind sized. NaceCare's spec sheet lists the machine at 30 inches wide, but Numatic's owner manual gives 37.3 inches (948 mm) overall for this twin-brush model. Measure your narrowest door and elevator before you order.
When a walk-behind still wins. Floors under about 15,000 square feet a night, buildings that are mostly small rooms and restrooms, and heavy soil that needs more brush pressure. Price isn't the tiebreaker at 28 inches: the CRL 2128/50T costs $200 less than the TBL 2228/100T. If your floor is smaller, the 17-inch TGB 817NX costs $10,200 less and covers a mid-size route.
Not sure which side of the line you're on? Send us your square footage, floor type and cleaning schedule, or call (855) 601-5678, and we'll tell you which machine fits, including when the answer is a walk-behind.
The CRL 2128/50T runs 1 hour 40 minutes on one NX1K battery and recharges in about 2.5 hours. At realistic speeds that's roughly 36,000 to 50,500 square feet per charge (NaceCare quotes up to 65,000 in ideal conditions).
The CRL 2128/100T carries a second battery for $1,500 more and runs 3 hours 10 minutes, roughly 68,500 to 96,000 square feet per charge (NaceCare quotes up to 130,000). It takes about 5 hours to recharge, so it still finishes overnight.
Pick the 100T if the machine cleans more than one building a night or runs two shifts. A single night route under about 45,000 square feet is a good fit for the 50T.

See every rider in our ride-on floor scrubbers collection. If you want NX1K batteries in a smaller walk-behind, the 20-inch TBL 1120 is the push model and the 20-inch TBL 1620T adds traction drive.
NaceCare is Numatic's North American distributor, the UK maker behind the Henry vacuum, and the CRL 2128 is Numatic's CRL 8072 twin-brush rider. Its 2025 US warranty chart for Twintec ride-on scrubbers covers the polyethylene and structural foam parts for 10 years, the steel frame for 5, switches, motors and electrical parts for 2, and 2 years of labor, with up to 180 days of travel time. The NX1K batteries carry their own 5-year warranty. We're an authorized NaceCare retailer, so all of it comes with your machine. Found a lower price? Call or message us and we'll beat it.

They're the same machine. The 50T has one NX1K battery and runs 1 hour 40 minutes; the 100T has two, runs 3 hours 10 minutes and costs $1,500 more. Choose the 100T for more than one building a night or two shifts. A single route under about 45,000 square feet suits the 50T.
When your crew scrubs more than about 15,000 square feet of open floor a night. NaceCare rates the CRL 2128 at 43,300 square feet an hour against 31,000 for its 28-inch TBL 2228T walk-behind, and the operator sits instead of walking close to a mile for every 10,000 square feet. For small rooms, restrooms or heavy soil, a walk-behind is still the better tool.
Look at the NaceCare TVL 850. It has 32-gallon tanks, a 26- to 34-inch adjustable path and takes 3 to 6 NX1K batteries, so it suits warehouses, big-box stores and whole campuses. It starts at $8,000 more than the CRL 2128/100T, and it's a much bigger machine, so it won't park in a janitor's closet.
After 30 to 50% for turns, refills and edges, plan on roughly 36,000 to 50,500 square feet per charge with one battery and 68,500 to 96,000 with two. NaceCare's own figures, in ideal conditions, are 65,000 and 130,000.
NaceCare's spec sheet lists 50 inches long, 30 inches wide and 47 inches high. Numatic's owner manual for this twin-brush machine (the CRL 8072) gives 37.3 inches (948 mm) overall width, so measure your narrowest door and elevator before ordering. It climbs ramps up to 11%.
Just a standard outlet. The charger is built into the machine and accepts 100 to 240 V. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours with one battery and 5 hours with two, and the lithium iron phosphate batteries can be topped up at any level. Numatic recommends charging after every use and leaving it on charge overnight at least once a month.
Yes. NaceCare's owner manual for the CRL 2128 is Numatic's CRL 8055 / 8072 manual, and the twin-brush CRL 8072 is the 28-inch machine sold here. Some sites still call it the TGB 2128. The single-brush CRL 8055 covered by the same manual is a different machine.
Two 14-inch heads at a time. Numatic lists the 370 mm Nyloscrub brush 903994 and Polyscrub brush 903449 (two of either), and the 360 mm NuLoc2 drive board 900524 (two) for 14-inch pads. The machine ships with two brushes. Tell us your floor and we'll suggest the right one.
Under NaceCare's 2025 US warranty chart for Twintec ride-on scrubbers: 10 years on polyethylene and structural foam parts, 5 years on the steel frame, 2 years on switches, motors and electrical parts, and 2 years of labor with up to 180 days of travel time. Each NX1K battery has a 5-year warranty. NaceCare needs a clear photo of the battery serial number to start a battery claim.
It ships free by freight truck from NaceCare, on a pallet of about 510 lbs. The driver needs a loading dock, a forklift or a liftgate, so message us before you order if your site has none and we'll help set up the delivery. Numatic's manual describes driving the machine off the pallet with the ramp provided.
