NaceCare TVL 850 Ride-On Floor Scrubber, 26" to 34" Adjustable Path, NX1K Lithium

It's 10 p.m. in a school with 60,000 square feet of VCT: long hallways, a cafeteria, a gym. Two custodians with walk-behinds will be at it past midnight, and the hallways are still wet when the buses pull in. The NaceCare TVL 850 ride-on floor scrubber lets one operator sit down, scrub and dry the whole building in one shift.
What sets it apart from other compact riders is the deck. Two spring-loaded side pods give you three cleaning widths, 26, 30 or 34 inches (650, 750 or 850 mm), set with a lever and no tools. Narrow for corridors and classrooms, full width for the gym and the cafeteria. If a pod touches a door frame or a column, it folds back instead of gouging either one.
Behind the seat sit 32-gallon solution and recovery tanks and three to six NX1K lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, good for 3 hours 5 minutes up to 6 hours 20 minutes of scrubbing. The batteries need no watering, charge on board from a standard outlet and can be topped up at any break.
What I like most is that the TVL 850 is three machines in one frame. Most riders give you one path width, so you either buy wide and fight the hallways or buy narrow and crawl across the open floor. Here you push a side pod in, pull its lever and set it to the width the room needs. The seat has a pressure sensor, so the machine won't move until someone is sitting on it, and it rolls off its delivery pallet on its own power, using the ramp that comes in the crate.
It suits schools, distribution centers, retail stores, airports and big office floors, roughly 40,000 square feet or more a night. Be honest about two things. At 704 to 772 lbs it needs freight delivery and a ramp or dock. And if your floor is under about 20,000 square feet, a walk-behind will do the job for a fraction of the price.
Three widths, one machine. Switch between a 26, 30 or 34-inch path in seconds, so one rider covers corridors and open floor.
Gull-wing side pods that give way. The spring-loaded pods close when they touch an obstacle, which protects your door frames, columns and the machine.
NX1K lithium iron phosphate batteries. Rated for 4,000+ charge cycles, about 10 times the life of wet batteries, with no watering and no acid spills.
Charge whenever it suits you. LFP batteries don't mind partial charges, so the operator can plug in at lunch without hurting the pack.
32-gallon tanks. Fewer trips to the drain, and a float shut-off stops the vacuum before the recovery tank can overfill.
160 lbs of brush pressure on three 12-inch heads. Enough down force to lift traffic film, with adjustable pressure, brush speed and water flow from 0.25 to 1 gpm.
Easy head changes. NaceCare's patented pop-on, pop-off brushes and pad drivers, plus a tear-away squeegee with quick-release blades.
Quiet enough for daytime work. 70 dB(A) or less. Normal conversation runs around 60 dB, so it can work in occupied spaces.
Every TVL 850 is the same machine. The only difference between the four versions is how many NX1K batteries sit in the battery compartment, and that decides how long you can scrub before you stop. Each extra battery adds about 65 minutes of run time, about 2.5 hours of charge time on the on-board charger and about 23 lbs. Each step up costs $1,500 more, which is the same as NaceCare's list price for one NX1K battery bought on its own.

3 batteries (TVL 850/150T): 3 hours 5 minutes, 7.5 hours to charge. Right for a single night shift in one building, roughly 80,000 to 110,000 square feet per charge at full width.

4 batteries (TVL 850/200T): 4 hours 10 minutes, 10 hours to charge. The usual pick when the floor takes a little more than one charge of the 150T, or when you want slack for heavy-soil nights. It costs $1,500 more than the 150T.

5 batteries (TVL 850/250T): 5 hours 15 minutes, 12.5 hours to charge. For warehouses and big-box stores that scrub most of a shift, about 140,000 to 190,000 square feet per charge. It costs $3,000 more than the 150T.

6 batteries (TVL 850/300T): 6 hours 20 minutes, 15 hours to charge. The full shift on one charge, roughly 165,000 to 230,000 square feet. It costs $4,500 more than the 150T.
Check the charge time against your schedule. More batteries only help if the machine sits long enough to refill them. A six-battery TVL 850 that runs one night shift and rests all day is fine. One that runs two shifts back to back will never see a full charge, so a smaller pack topped up at every break may serve you just as well.
One more honest note: at a medium water flow of 0.5 gpm, the 32-gallon tank lasts about an hour. On the bigger packs, a refill usually ends a run before the battery does.
NaceCare rates the TVL 850 at 40,200 square feet an hour at the 26-inch width and 52,500 at 34 inches. Those figures assume straight lines with no stops. After 30% to 50% for turns, refills and edges, plan on about 26,000 to 37,000 square feet an hour at full width, or 20,000 to 28,000 at the narrow setting.
The run times above come from NaceCare's spec sheet for each version, and the per-charge figures on this page use that realistic range at the 34-inch width. The machine travels at up to 4 mph and is rated for slopes up to 11%, which covers most loading-dock and parking-deck ramps.
Not sure this is the right size? Send us your square footage, floor type and cleaning schedule, or call (855) 601-5678, and we'll tell you which machine fits, including when the answer is a smaller one.
The closest alternative we carry is the ICE RS26L, a 26-inch lithium rider with 29-gallon tanks and 3.5 to 4 hours of run time. It costs $3,789 more than the four-battery TVL 850, and for that money you get ICE's i-Synergy fleet reports and a lithium battery warranted for the life of the machine. Choose the RS26L if you manage a fleet and want usage data. Choose the TVL 850 if you need the wider 34-inch path, the bigger tanks or more run time per charge.
NaceCare also makes the smaller CRL 2128, a 28-inch compact rider on one or two NX1K batteries, for buildings where the TVL 850's size is more than the floor needs. If your floor is crowded and stop-and-go, the TBL 2228T is a 28-inch traction walk-behind on the same batteries. Every model is in our ride-on floor scrubbers collection, and our guide to walk-behind vs ride-on floor scrubbers helps if you're still deciding between the two.
No ride-on replaces edge work. You'll still sweep or dust mop first, and you'll still detail corners and under fixtures by hand.
Shipping is free. The TVL 850 leaves NaceCare's US warehouse in 2 to 4 business days and travels by freight truck on a pallet, so expect 704 to 772 lbs plus crating. A loading dock or a forklift is the easiest way to receive it. If your address has neither, tell us before you order and we'll set up the right delivery equipment with the carrier. Once it's on the ground, the operator drives it off the pallet on the ramp supplied in the crate.
NaceCare is the North American distributor for Numatic, the UK maker behind the Henry vacuum, and the TVL 850 is Numatic's Twintec ride-on scrubber. NaceCare backs its Twintec riders with 10 years on the polyethylene and structural foam parts, 5 years on the steel frame, 2 years on motors and electrical parts and 2 years of labor, and each NX1K battery carries its own 5-year warranty. We're an authorized NaceCare retailer, so that warranty comes with every machine. Found a lower price? Call or message us and we'll beat it.

It depends on how many NX1K batteries you choose. NaceCare's spec sheets list 3 hours 5 minutes with 3 batteries (150T), 4 hours 10 minutes with 4 (200T), 5 hours 15 minutes with 5 (250T) and 6 hours 20 minutes with 6 (300T). On the on-board charger, a full charge takes 7.5, 10, 12.5 or 15 hours respectively.
Pick the smallest pack that covers your longest single run, then check the charge time fits the hours the machine sits idle. Each extra battery adds about 65 minutes of scrubbing and about 2.5 hours of charging, and costs $1,500 more. If the machine runs back-to-back shifts, a smaller pack topped up at every break can beat a big one that never gets a full charge.
NaceCare makes battery conversion kits for the TVL 850 (for example, 3 to 4 and 4 to 5 batteries) that are fitted together with extra NX1K batteries. Parts can depend on the machine's serial number, so send us yours and we'll confirm the kit and price with NaceCare before you plan on it. If you already know you'll need the run time, buying the right count up front is the simpler route.
The NX1K is NaceCare's 25.6-volt, 50 Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. It's rated for over 4,000 charge cycles, needs no watering or equalizing, and can be charged at any level without harm. The same battery powers NaceCare's TBL walk-behind and CRL ride-on scrubbers, and NaceCare warrants it for 5 years.
No tools needed. Push the side pod in, pull its adjustment lever and set it to one of three positions, then do the same on the other side. That gives you a 26, 30 or 34-inch (650, 750 or 850 mm) path. The pods are spring loaded, so they fold back if they touch a wall, door frame or column.
NaceCare's spec sheet lists the machine at 26 inches wide, 66 inches long and 56 inches high. The owner manual measures 41.5 inches across the rear floor tool, so check the narrowest doorway and elevator on your route before you order. Send us the measurements and we'll check them against the machine.
NaceCare's price list ships the TVL 850 with pad drivers for three 12-inch pads; pads aren't included. NaceCare also makes 300 mm (12-inch) Octo brushes for it: Nyloscrub 606151 for everyday scrubbing, Polyscrub 606152, and Longlife 606153 and 606327 for heavier work. Tell us your floor and we'll suggest the right head.
Yes. Numatic rates the TVL 850 for slopes up to 11%, and the traction drive does the work, so the operator only steers and uses the speed pedal. The manual warns against using it on anything steeper than 11%.
Shipping is free. It travels by freight truck on a pallet, at 704 to 772 lbs depending on the battery count, and the operator drives it off the pallet on the ramp supplied in the crate. A loading dock or forklift makes receiving easy. If your address has neither, tell us before you order and we'll set up the right delivery equipment with the carrier.
Under NaceCare's 2025 US warranty chart for Twintec ride-on scrubbers: 10 years on polyethylene and structural foam parts, 5 years on the steel frame, 2 years on switches, motors and electrical parts and 2 years of labor. Each NX1K battery has a 5-year warranty; NaceCare asks for a clear photo of the battery's serial number to start a claim.
