EDIC® Triton™ Lightweight Aluminum Carpet Wand, Dual Jet, for 100 to 250 PSI or 500 PSI Extractors
(855) 601-5678 · support@oneupcleaning.com
A stainless steel carpet wand weighs 7.5 to 8 pounds and every ounce sits at the end of your arms for hundreds of strokes a day. The EDIC Triton cuts that to 6.5 lbs with an aircraft aluminum tube and a low center of gravity, and it's the wand EDIC puts in its Galaxy "TK" kits and its Endeavor carpet kits.
Lighter isn't the only point. The Triton's head is shaped for higher, even airflow across its full width, so it recovers water evenly from edge to edge and needs less downward push to seal on the carpet. The shoe is UHMW plastic, the thermoplastic with the highest impact strength made today, and its friction is lower than Delrin's, so the wand glides and the shoe wears slowly. Three screws hold it on, and it comes off for cleaning or replacement.
Up front, a dual jet manifold places the two spray patterns so they don't overlap, which lets each jet hit the fibers at full pressure. The whole manifold unclips in seconds for cleaning. The valve is rated to 1200 PSI and the solution line to 3000 PSI, with stainless steel jets and fasteners and a foam-cushioned stainless handle grip. Made in the USA.
Both versions are the same wand. The difference is the size of the spray tips, which has to match your machine's pressure.
100 to 250 PSI, #TR1-95015FS-A ($790): for the Galaxy 5, the Galaxy 2000 SX and IX, the Galaxy Pro 2700IX, and the Polaris and Supernova in hose mode.
500 PSI, #TR1-9501FS-A ($790): for the 500 PSI Galaxy 2000CX, Galaxy Pro 2700CX and 2700FX, and the Endeavor. Smaller tips keep the flow right at high pressure. Using the 100 to 250 PSI version on a 500 PSI machine overwets the carpet and slows drying.
The wand comes without a hose. Galaxy and Endeavor owners connect it with EDIC's 15, 25 or 50 ft high-pressure hose assembly (1040AC-HP, 2540AC-HP or 5040AC-HP). Polaris and Supernova owners use the 1041AC or 2541AC assembly with the adapter plate. Message us your machine model if you're unsure.
Triton or Glidemaster?
Triton (from $790): 6.5 lb aluminum, UHMW glide, tool-free manifold. For crews cleaning carpet all day, where weight and recovery pay back the price.
Glidemaster (from $266): 7.4 to 8 lb polished stainless steel, dual or single jet, 10 or 12 inch head. The classic, lower-cost choice for occasional or in-house cleaning.
For heavily soiled carpet, the Powermate powered wand adds a 2500 RPM brush. For stairs and vehicle floors, see the stair and van wand ($253).

After each job, run clean water through the wand for a minute to flush detergent out of the jets. If the spray pattern turns uneven, unclip the manifold and rinse the strainer and tips.

Match the jets to your pump. The TR1-95015FS-A is for 100 to 250 PSI machines: Galaxy 5, Galaxy 2000SX and IX, Galaxy Pro 2700IX, Polaris and Supernova. The TR1-9501FS-A is for 500 PSI machines: Galaxy 2000CX, Galaxy Pro 2700CX and FX, and the Endeavor. The wand is otherwise identical.
For the tube, yes in normal use; EDIC uses aircraft-grade aluminum for its strength-to-weight ratio, and the wear parts are where durability matters most. The UHMW shoe has the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic made today and wears slowly thanks to its low friction. The shoe (part D13908) is held by three screws and can be replaced on its own.
No, it's the wand only. Galaxy and Endeavor owners use EDIC's 1040AC-HP (15 ft), 2540AC-HP (25 ft) or 5040AC-HP (50 ft) hose assembly. Polaris and Supernova owners use the 1041AC or 2541AC with the adapter plate.
Flush clean water through the wand after every job. If the pattern turns uneven, release the spring clips and lift off the whole spray manifold, then rinse the strainer and tips. No tools needed.
The valve, fittings and solution line are rated for truckmount pressure and heat (1200 PSI valve, 3000 PSI line), but the jets are sized for 100 to 250 PSI or 500 PSI portables. Message us before using it on a truckmount so we can check the tip size with EDIC.
The Triton is lighter (6.5 lb vs 7.4 to 8 lb), glides on UHMW instead of stainless, and has a tool-free spray manifold. The stainless Glidemaster costs about a third as much. If you clean carpet most of the day, the Triton pays back in comfort and recovery; for occasional or in-house use, the Glidemaster is enough.
