EDIC Glidemaster Carpet Wands: Stainless Steel, Four Versions, One for Every EDIC Portable

The Glidemaster is the wand EDIC packs in its Galaxy "WK" kits and the one most cleaners picture when they think of a stainless steel carpet wand: a polished 1.5 inch stainless steel vacuum tube, a low-profile head angled to slide under desks and overhangs, a 1200 PSI brass angle valve and a female quick disconnect that matches EDIC hoses. It's heavy enough to sit flat on the carpet and pull water out hard, and stainless means it outlasts the machine it's attached to.

There are four versions. Two things decide which one you need: the pump pressure of your machine and whether you want one jet or two.

  • Dual jet S-bend (12 inch). Two smaller spray tips give a wider, more even fan, so each pass covers the full head with less striping. The S-bend lets the head stay flat while you stand upright. Made in a 100 to 250 PSI version and a 500 PSI version with smaller tips.

  • Single jet (12 inch or 10 inch). One larger tip (11003) puts down the same nominal flow as the dual jet's two 110015 tips, in a simpler single-bend tube with half the tips and check valves to look after. The 10 inch head is the narrow one for stairs, closets and small machines.

Every Glidemaster has a stainless steel strainer and check valve behind each tip, so the wand stops dripping the moment you release the trigger and debris doesn't reach the jets.

Which Glidemaster Fits Your Machine

  • 12" dual jet S-bend, 100 to 250 PSI, #1034-110015FB ($295): the everyday wand for the Galaxy 5, the Galaxy 2000 SX and IX, the Galaxy Pro 2700IX, and the Polaris and Supernova in hose mode. It's the wand in EDIC's Galaxy 5, 2000IX and Pro 2700IX "WK" kits.

  • 12" dual jet S-bend, 500 PSI, #1034-11001FB ($295): for the 500 PSI Galaxy 2000CX, Galaxy Pro 2700CX and 2700FX, and the Endeavor. Smaller 11001 tips keep the flow right at high pressure, so the carpet doesn't get overwet.

  • 12" single jet, #1033-11003FB ($276): for 100 to 250 PSI machines. It's the wand in EDIC's Galaxy 2000SX kits and is on EDIC's accessory list for the Polaris and Supernova.

  • 10" single jet, #330-11003FB ($266): the compact one. It's the wand in the 330AC-CM kit for the Fivestar and Comet, in the heated Bravo kit, and a good match for carpeted floors with the Galaxy automotive extractors.

The wand comes without a hose. Galaxy and Endeavor owners connect it with EDIC's 15, 25 or 50 ft high-pressure hose assembly (1040AC-HP, 2540AC-HP or 5040AC-HP). Polaris and Supernova owners use the 1041AC or 2541AC assembly with the adapter plate. Fivestar and Comet owners use the 341AC-15 hose or simply buy the 330AC-CM kit, which already includes the 10 inch wand. Not sure which hose you have? Message us the machine model and we'll tell you.

Want something lighter? The Triton (from $790) is EDIC's 6.5 lb aircraft aluminum wand. For heavily soiled carpet, the Powermate adds a 2500 RPM brush. For stair treads and vehicle floors, the stair and van wand ($253) is a 30 inch version with a 10 inch head.

After each job, run clean water through the wand for a minute to flush detergent out of the tips. If the spray pattern turns uneven, unscrew the check valve cap behind the tip and rinse the strainer. EDIC's 12 inch Teflon wand glide (1012AC-GL), included in some Galaxy kits, clips onto the 12 inch heads to cut drag on dense carpet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Glidemaster do I need?

Match it to your pump. 100 to 250 PSI machines (Galaxy 5, Galaxy 2000SX and IX, Galaxy Pro 2700IX, Polaris, Supernova) take the 1034-110015FB dual jet or the 1033-11003FB single jet. 500 PSI machines (Galaxy 2000CX, Galaxy Pro 2700CX and FX, Endeavor) take the 1034-11001FB. The 10 inch 330-11003FB suits the Bravo, Fivestar, Comet and the Galaxy automotive extractors.

Can I use the 100 to 250 PSI dual jet on a 500 PSI machine?

It will spray, but the larger tips put down far too much water at 500 PSI, which overwets the carpet and slows drying. EDIC builds its 500 PSI Galaxy kits around the 1034-11001FB for that reason. The reverse is also a poor match: the 500 PSI wand on a 120 PSI machine puts down noticeably less water.

Single jet or dual jet?

The single jet's one 11003 tip and the dual jet's two 110015 tips put down the same nominal flow. Two tips spread it across a wider, more even fan, so the dual jet leaves fewer stripes and covers the head width better. The single jet is simpler, with one tip and one check valve to maintain.

Does the wand come with a hose?

No, it's the wand only. Galaxy and Endeavor owners use EDIC's 1040AC-HP (15 ft), 2540AC-HP (25 ft) or 5040AC-HP (50 ft) hose assembly. Polaris and Supernova owners use the 1041AC or 2541AC with the adapter plate. Fivestar and Comet owners use the 341AC-15 hose or the 330AC-CM kit, which includes the 10 inch wand.

Glidemaster or Triton?

The Triton is EDIC's 6.5 lb aircraft aluminum wand with a UHMW glide and a clip-off spray manifold, built for crews cleaning carpet all day. The Glidemaster is the classic stainless steel wand at about a third of the price, and the better fit for occasional or in-house cleaning.

The spray pattern is uneven or the wand drips. What do I check?

Each tip has a stainless steel strainer and check valve behind it (A00094B). Unscrew the check valve cap, rinse the strainer and blow out the tip. If a tip is worn or damaged, the replacements are A00094A-9 (110015), A11867 (11001) and A00094A-11 (11003). Message us and we'll order the part.

Does the 330AC-CM kit already include this wand?

Yes. The 330AC-CM for the Fivestar and Comet includes the 10 inch 330-11003FB with a 15 ft hose. Buy the wand here only as a spare or to add one to another machine.
