The Fivestar and Comet ship as carpet-only machines: a 12-inch brush head and nothing to reach a chair, a stair tread or the back seat of a car. This EDIC upholstery tool kit is the factory answer. It contains the 321ACH detail tool, a cast aluminum hand tool with a black powder-coat finish, an enclosed spray chamber and a round glass window so you can watch the soil lift out; a vacuum and solution hose assembly in your choice of 8 ft (357AC) or 15 ft (357AC-CM); brass hose fittings; and a mesh bag to keep it all together on the machine.
Hookup takes a minute. Pull the vacuum hose cuff off the lid and the solution line off the quick-connect at the back, click the kit's hoses on instead, and flip the switch to the upholstery position. The pump and vacuum run, the brush doesn't, and the trigger on the tool controls the spray. Recirculating notches in the tool head keep water from pooling in the spray chamber, so fabric dries faster.
EDIC makes this kit for the Fivestar and Comet only. It won't fit the Bravo, Galaxy or Polaris, which use different hose ends; we sell the right tools for those on their own pages.
8 ft hose, 357AC ($307). Enough to reach across a sofa or a row of waiting-room chairs with the machine parked beside them, and to do a flight of stairs with the machine at the bottom landing. The lighter, easier-to-store choice for offices and churches.
15 ft hose, 357AC-CM ($72 more). Lets you leave the machine in the aisle and reach a full row of theater or bus seats, or park it outside a car and clean every seat and the trunk without moving it. Worth it for detailers, transit fleets and anyone cleaning stairs that turn.
Already own the tool and only need the hose? The 341AC hose assembly sells on its own from $93. Need to clean carpet the machine can't drive into, not upholstery? Look at the 330AC-CM hose and 10-inch wand kit instead.

EDIC covers the kit under its standard limited warranty; hoses, tools and fittings are wear items, so treat them well: rinse the hose with clean water after each job, spray the quick-connect and the tool's valve plunger with silicone lubricant if they start to stick, and hang the hose to dry.

The EDIC Fivestar (401TR and 411TR) and the EDIC Comet 419TR only. The hose cuff matches their lid port and the solution line matches the quick-connect on the back. It does not fit the Bravo, Galaxy, Polaris or Supernova, which use different hose assemblies.
No. Both ship as carpet machines with no hoses or hand tools. This kit is the factory add-on, and EDIC's manual says so in capital letters: upholstery kits are sold separately.
Disconnect the vacuum hose with the black cuff from the lid and the solution hose from the back of the machine, connect the kit's hoses in their place, and turn the switch to the upholstery position. The brush stays off; the trigger on the tool controls the spray. Go over the fabric again without spraying to speed drying.
8 ft (357AC) covers a sofa, a row of chairs or a straight flight of stairs with the machine right there. 15 ft (357AC-CM) lets the machine stay put while you reach a whole row of seats, every seat in a car, or stairs that turn a corner. The longer hose costs $72 more and is a little more to coil and store.
Yes. The 341AC (8 ft) and 341AC-15 (15 ft) hose assemblies are sold separately for owners who already have EDIC 1.5 inch tools.
You can spot-clean with it, but for closets, landings and rooms the machine can't drive into, the 330AC-CM kit with the 10 inch stainless steel wand is the right tool.
