NaceCare RSV 150 / RSV 150H Commercial Backpack Vacuum, HEPA13 Option

It's 10 p.m. in an auditorium with 600 fixed seats, two flights of stairs and carpet under every row. An upright won't fit between the seats, and a canister gets dragged and stuck on every step. The NaceCare RSV 150 commercial backpack vacuum rides on your crew member's back, so the tool goes wherever their arm reaches and nothing trails behind them.
It weighs 12 lbs, runs a 680-watt motor rated for 2,250 hours and pulls 120 cfm of airflow with 100 inches of water lift. The 50-foot cord means far fewer stops to move the plug, and the 6-quart (1.5 gallon) bag holds a full route before it needs changing.
At 52 dB(A), it's quieter than a normal conversation, so it works in occupied offices and classrooms. Need documented air quality? The RSV 150H is the same machine with a certified HEPA13 cartridge, picked with the Filtration selector above.
What I like most is the harness. The height adjusts without tools, the back panel is breathable mesh, and the waist belt carries the tools, so the 12 lbs sits on the hips instead of the shoulders. The cord plugs into the machine with a "plug and go" connector, so a cut cord gets swapped in a minute instead of going out for repair.
I'd put it in theaters, churches, schools, offices, hotels and anywhere with stairs, fixed seating or tight furniture. Two honest notes before you buy. It's a dry vacuum only. And it's corded: if outlets are the real problem on your route, the RBV 150NX cordless backpack is the same platform on a battery, for $800 more.
12 lbs on an adjustable harness. Lower-back support and a mesh panel keep one operator going for a full shift.
52 dB(A). Normal conversation runs around 60 dB, so daytime vacuuming doesn't clear the room.
50-foot "plug and go" cord. Long reach between outlets, and a damaged cord swaps out at the machine.
680 W motor, 2,250+ hours, 5-year motor warranty. NaceCare says that's twice the motor life of most units on the market.
84% soil recovery with 0.3 micron filtration. The HepaFlo bag and TriTex filter keep fine dust in the machine instead of on the desks.
Ratchet wand that adds up to 6 inches. Tall and short operators both get a comfortable reach.
Swivel hose fittings and onboard tool storage. The hose doesn't twist, and the attachments ride with you between rooms.
Every RSV 150 ships with the same machine and cord. The kit decides what touches the floor, and every ASTB kit includes a 5-foot NuFlex hose and a 3-piece stainless steel telescopic wand. Tap a picture to see the kit up close.

ASTB2, 12-inch combo floor tool. The standard kit. It switches between carpet and hard floor, and it's the only kit offered on the HEPA RSV 150H.

ASTB5, 12-inch Free Flo tool. A 12-inch tool for carpet and hard floors, and the lowest-priced kit, $30 less than the ASTB2.

ASTB6, 15-inch carpet kit. A wide Sidewinder carpet tool that covers more floor per pass, for open offices, meeting rooms and long carpeted halls. Same price as the ASTB2.

ASTB8, 15-inch hard floor kit. A wide Sidewinder hard floor tool for VCT, tile and sealed concrete, $30 more than the ASTB2.

ASTB3, air-driven power head. A turbine brush spun by the vacuum's own airflow, so there's no extra cord. It lifts more grit out of carpet for $60 more than the ASTB2.

S-wand and 15-inch floor tool. NaceCare's newer backpack kit: a lightweight 2-piece S-shaped wand with a 15-inch floor tool, built for the RSV and RBV 150 series. Same price as the ASTB2.

13-inch battery power brush. A motorized brush with its own 24-volt lithium power wand and a fast charger in the box, up to 50 minutes per charge, CRI Gold approved. It costs $370 more than the ASTB2, and it's the one to choose when carpet is most of the job.

The RSV 150H is the same motor, harness, cord and tank as the RSV 150. NaceCare publishes one spec sheet for both. The H model adds a certified HEPA13 cartridge filter after the HepaFlo bag and TriTex filter, a 3-stage system rated at 0.3 micron and 99.97% efficiency.
Pick the HEPA backpack vacuum when you have to prove air quality: patient areas, eldercare, schools with allergy plans, or contracts that call for certified HEPA. It costs $170 more and comes with the ASTB2 kit only. Honestly, for everyday offices and hotels the standard RSV 150 already filters to 0.3 micron and keeps that money in your budget.
One limit applies to both. Numatic's manual says the machine isn't meant for hazardous or explosive dust, so lead, silica or asbestos work needs a certified hazardous-dust vacuum. Ask us and we'll point you to one.
The running cost is bags. Both models take NaceCare's NVM 1AH HepaFlo bags (part 604011), listed at $32 for a pack of 10. Their self-seal tab locks the dust inside, so emptying stays clean. Use them: running the RSV bagless or with another brand's bag cuts the motor warranty from 5 years to 2.
Behind the bag sits the reusable TriTex filter (910915). The RSV 150H adds the H13 cartridge filter (901647). Check the bag at the start and end of each shift, and keep the filters clean.
Against the EDIC Atlas. The Atlas is lighter at 9.8 lbs, pulls more water lift at 110 inches and costs $116 less. The RSV 150 runs at 52 dB(A) against the Atlas's 65 dB, and it offers a certified HEPA13 version and seven tool kits. If you vacuum around people, the quieter machine wins.
Against the cordless RBV 150NX. Same harness, tank and tool kits, but on an NX300 battery with up to 90 minutes of runtime. Pick it when cords are the bottleneck. Pick the RSV 150 when an outlet is never far away and you'd rather keep the difference.
Against a canister. The Henry PPR 240 uses the same 680 W motor and costs $30 less, but it rolls behind you. On stairs, in fixed seating and around crowded furniture, the backpack is faster. Browse every option in our commercial backpack vacuums collection.
NaceCare is the North American distributor for Numatic, the British company behind the Henry, and the RSV 150 is built by Numatic in England. The warranty shows the confidence: 10 years on the body, 5 years on the motor with HepaFlo bags, and 2 years on electrical parts and labor. We're an authorized NaceCare retailer, so that warranty comes with every machine. Found a lower price? Call or message us and we'll beat it.

Only the filtration. Both have the same 680 W motor, 120 cfm, 100 inches of water lift, 12 lb weight, 50 ft cord and harness, and NaceCare publishes one spec sheet for both. The RSV 150H adds a certified HEPA13 cartridge after the HepaFlo bag and TriTex filter, and it comes with the ASTB2 kit only.
No. Numatic's manual says the machine isn't suitable for hazardous or explosive dust. The HEPA13 filter is for fine dust, allergens and documented indoor air quality. For abatement work, use a certified hazardous-dust vacuum, and ask us if you need one.
Every ASTB kit has a 5 ft NuFlex hose and a 3-piece stainless steel telescopic wand. ASTB2 adds a 12 in combo tool, ASTB5 a 12 in Free Flo tool, ASTB6 a 15 in Sidewinder carpet tool, ASTB8 a 15 in Sidewinder hard floor tool and ASTB3 an air-driven power head. The S-wand kit is a 2-piece S-shaped wand with a 15 in floor tool. The battery power brush option adds NaceCare's 13 in brush with its own 24 V lithium power wand and a fast charger.
NVM 1AH HepaFlo bags (part 604011, pack of 10) and the TriTex filter (910915). The RSV 150H also uses the H13 cartridge filter (901647). Use NaceCare HepaFlo bags: running it bagless or with another brand's bag cuts the motor warranty from 5 years to 2.
NaceCare's spec sheet rates it at 52 dB(A). Normal conversation runs around 60 dB, so you can vacuum offices and classrooms while people are working.
No. The RSV 150 and RSV 150H are dry vacuums for indoor use only. For spills, look at a wet/dry vacuum.
Yes, the RBV 150NX uses the same platform and tool kits on an NX300 lithium battery with up to 90 minutes of runtime. It costs more, so the corded RSV 150 is the better buy when outlets are close by.
Under NaceCare's 2025 US warranty chart for electric backpack vacuums: 10 years on the polyethylene and structural foam body, 5 years on the motor when used with NaceCare HepaFlo bags (2 years otherwise), and 2 years on switches, electrical parts and labor.
